Chapter 3 School Fools

Astoria High School, to some it's just school, to the Goonies it isn't a fun place. Bullies Rome the halls looking for a target. Especially the king of them all, the king of the school Troy. He is a wealthy rich snob just like his father, the man who was to tare down Mikey's and the rest of the goonies houses to build a country club. Thanks to a few jewels that didn't happen.
But the arrogant jock uses any chance to pick on them especially since he didn't get Andy or the country club.
"Brand!" Andy called as she charged into his buff arms. She threw her arms around his neck and they kissed.
Mouth slid next to Stef.
"Not a chance." She hissed.
"Don't flatter yourself." He snarled back.

"Oh I can't believe Mikey forgot his Inhaler!" Mrs Walsh cried frantically. "Rosalita I'll be back I'm taking Mikey's inhaler to him." She dashed out the door and down the steps.
"Excuse me." A soft voice called.
She turned to see a beautiful girl with jet black hair and captivating green eyes.
"I'm sorry I'm new In town and my father just left for his first day of work, do you happen to know we're the school is?"
"Oh, hi, I noticed we had some new neighbors." She chuckled unlocking the doors. "The school is about a twenty minute walk from here and am afraid it's just about to start."
"Oh nuts, well thanks mam I guess I'll just start walking then."
"Actually I'm heading over there right now, my son Mikey, he's got asthma and he forgot his inhaler, I'll be more than happy to give you a ride."
"Why thank you-uh-?"
"Mrs. Walsh." She said holding out her good arm.
"Why thank you Mrs. Walsh." She said shaking her hand gently. "I'm Ariel."

The bell had rung for first period. Mikey had History while Mouth, Data, and Chunk had English. Andy and Stef had Brand in Science. Mikey was all by himself, he hated it. He sat in the second row for he didn't want to seem like a nerd in the fist row. As he entered the classroom everyone stared. Even the teacher couldn't help but stare. The whispers and murmurs were obviously about his adventure, weather they belived it or not. With a sigh Mikey prayed it be over soon.
"Welcome back class, I hope you had a good weekend." The teacher began.
Mikey thought of the best thing that had happened to him.
"Yeah some of us found treasure." Someone towards the back snarled. Giggles erupted.
"What was that Jarren?" The teacher said calling him out.
"Oh I was just saying-"
He was cut off by the knocking on there class room door.
The teacher opened the door to see Mrs. Walsh.
"Hi, I'm Mikey's mom, I hate to bug your class but Mikey forgot his inhaler at home and his asthma is really bad.
Mikey sighed in embarrassment. He got up and   grabbed it from her, and then walked back to his head down.
"Oh and you have a new student. She got lost on the way here." Ariel was gently nudged in the class room.
"Uh oh uh hi I'm Ariel." She waved shyly.
Mikey looked up and for the first time he was truly captivated by a girl. Yeah he kissed Andy, it blew him away, but he never liked her like that because of Brand. But this girl was new, this girl was beautiful, this girl had no idea who he was or the schools rumors that ruin chances of new friends. He looked about the classroom and all the seats were filled except the one next to him. He string his hands through his hair making it less messy looking, and sat upright.
"Ok Ms. er?"
"Crazo. Ariel Crazo."
"Ok Ms. Crazo, take a seat next to uh mr. Walsh."
Mikey cheered in the inside.
"Poor girl." Jarren whispered loud enough for Mikey to here.
Ariel pulled out the chair and sat down. Mikey got a soft whiff of her perfume. She smelled of a fresh Hawaiian breeze.
"Hi Mikey, your mom told me your name, in case you thought she didn't but she did so I didn't know before hand I'm not creepy I swear." She blurted out nervously.
"Hi Ariel, I'm sorry if she gave you the life story."
"Oh no she's very sweet."
He noticed a skull with cross bones necklace dangle from her neck.
"I like your necklace." He spat out trying to keep the conversation going.
"Oh uh thanks, it's ancient, been in the family for a while."
"You like pirates?" He asked regretting it as it left his mouth. Now she thinks I'm a geek he thought.
"Oh yeah love them, I find them very interesting but most people think I'm just -
"Weird." Mikey finished.
"Yeah." She said with a smile as she blushed.
"I know the feeling." He sighed.
