CHAPTER 3
ITS A LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY

Rows on rows of piled up dirt with stone crosses standing at each one. Each cross engraved. Lilith Arbor, Sam King, Donny Arbor, Jessy Elm, F/n L/n, M/n L/n. All the people you grew up with you had to bury. Your mother, father, and now your poor sibling. The kid that looked up to you, the kid that asked you for advice, the kid that you played with, protected, cherished, and now burying with the mist of sadness clouding your vision. You felt something drop on your head. You look up to see ash colored clouds and drops of water racing to the ground. " How appropriate. It's raining on possibly the saddest day of my life." You place your sibling in a smaller hole than the others and push dirt over top of their limp body. "May you rest peacefully and understand that I am not going to kill the ones who did this to you. I am pacifist so I'm going to see if I can squeeze an apologie out of them. I do hope that will suffice." You feel the wind rustle the trees branches as if to whisper Yes we understand. It will be fine. You stand up and start walking around the the runes of your village as if to say one last goodbye. Memories and nausea flooded towards you. The massive tree in the village square striped of any leafs. The bakery where you worked(you found some OK looking bread so you took it with you), the library where the scholars met every year(you found a hidden hatch leading to a cellar full of maps one books so you take some), the Lord's house which was surprisingly still standing(you found reasonable weapons there), your own house and home(you found the only surviving picture of your family. One that your little brother/sister drew right before the attack) and finally the rubble that was the village gates. You look down at the badly drawn picture in your hands(to be fair your sibling was like five or so). You hold back another wave of tears and sadness as you gently put the photo in your pocket and set off into the darkness. Man. You thought. It's gonna be a long road to recovery.

CHAPTER 4
VOICES IN THE FOREST

Y/n come play with me! Coming little sis! Haha! Y/n your the bestest sister ever! The last time you played with them was the day before all the chaos happened. You and your little sibling were running through piles of leaves gaining some angry comments from neighbors but that didn't matter to you. You were having the best time in your life and that's all that mattered. Heh well it in the past now. A distant memory. CRACK! You heard the snap of a stick behind you. Not waiting to see who or what it is you ran thinking that it might be an Oklasis guard ordered to hunt you down. As you pelted through the trees and brush you hear shouts behind you. You are to far away to hear what they are saying but you just assume that they are calling for reinforcements so you run faster. You grit your teeth against the pain of branches whipping in your face and thorns grazing your knee. As you kept running you saw a clearing in front of you. Not wanting to be out in the open you clamber up the nearest tree and hug the trunk hoping you might just blend in. "Geez. He's fast." You hear the voices more clear now, probably because they were right under you. "Yea. Where did he go?" He they might be looking for someone else. Hope flared in your chest. Maybe just maybe. "Hey they were wearing a helmet. So we don't know for sure that it's a guy." With that sentience the hope faded. Their looking for me. Zane probably sent them to hunt me down. Why that lazy little- "we'd better head back or Aphmau might start to worry." "Yea. Lets head back." The others agreed. As the sound of their footsteps faded away you began to relax. "Ugh." You lye down on the branch your sitting on and close your eyes. "Why where you hiding from us?" "GAH!" The sound of footsteps start racing towards you. "Damit." You say a few more colorful curses under your breath as you look for an escape route not even bothering to see who asked you the question. You notice a thick branch just a few feet away. "You can't possibly be thinking of-" and you jumped.
