How may two love, when it is forbidden?
When the rules keep forcing their love apart.
Nor are they allowed to keep it hidden,
For they cannot ignore the path of heart.
Without each other, they are out of tune.
Unable to grasp at the dimming flame.
Lost in the waters of this dark lagoon.
From those who refuse to accept their blame.
Many may doubt, but their love will not fade.
Despite their mistakes, there is no dismay.
For much more then just their trust has been weighed.
Making them stronger for their future days.
I smile as their colors fly with pride,
Knowing that someday, they'll become my bride.
