It's Where My Demons Hide

Trust?

Trust.

To anyone who reads this:

I'm Mabel Pines and I seek for help.

It has been ages since I've last talked to my twin, Dipper.

The last time we talked was during the Portal Incident when Grunkle Stan tried to bring his twin back from whatever dimension he was in. After all the commotion, the government agents came and went. Dipper too, retreated back to his own bed without a word.

Ever since then, he wouldn't talk to me. He ignored all my pleas with cherries on top. He didn't even budge from his seat when I ordered my two best friends to attack him with makeup (which we later gave up in doing).

Dipper still did his own things. He participated in conversations with Wendy or Soos, went monster-hunting, and read his books.

The others didn't notice anything out of the blue, but I did.

He changed.

He's a friend to them, but he's a stranger to me.
It is as if the trust between us had broken - as if there was never one in the first place.

I miss my twin. I miss all the joyful talks we had and all those adventures we had together. I miss the old us. Why couldn't everything be normal?

Then one day, I have come to realize the true cause of the problem.

It was the journal.

The journal did it all.

All these changes began when he found that dirty old journal back in the forest. He became obsessed with it. Trust no one, the book had said. That particular message was what got us into this big mess!

The journal is written by my great uncle, but I could not dismiss the fact that it was the root of our problems. I have unknowingly allowed the journal to become a part of our lives and allowed it to ruin it.

I have unknowingly allowed the journal to shatter our bond.

And this, I will not tolerate anymore. It had to end.

If you ever read this, please give me advices on how to solve my conundrum. Or anything sparkly. Glitter would be nice.

Best wishes,
Mabel Pines
