I know that when you want to express that you would be yelling something when messaging some one or posting a status update or tweet you would write it in all caps in the same way you use a smiley face to show that you're happy. In stories, however, you wouldn't use a smiley face to express happiness, so why would you use all caps to express yelling? You are supposed to write out shouting in a normal way, say how the character said it, and put an exclation mark at the end of their dialogue, like this:
"Stop!" she shouted, sprinting towards them.
Of course you can write in all caps for things like headlines and even some dialogues. Dialogue that happens over a loudspeaker that isn't conversational can be in all caps if you think it is appropriate for the situation
