michael's pov

i hate training.
i should've just faked being a invalid.
sure, it's worth seeing a sweaty luke in a white t-shirt flinging swords at targets, but that's beside the point.

"michael!" kylo calls.
"ugh, what?"
"come over here, you shit!"
luke then yells, "oh leave him alone, you emo trash!"
this causes me and ashton to break into laughter.
kylo walks over to me, "we need you to train, i mean, we leave in four days."
"kylo, do you have powers?"
he raises an eyebrow at me, "yeah, duh."
"well, then, why do we have to train if we have super powers?"
"because we need to learn to fight back like a human."
ashton gasps at his use of words.
[fact: "human" is considered a word that is foreign in their world.]
"kylo!"
we hear ashley yell.
"fuck..." he mumbles. "yes?"
ashley's tone is angry, "come here this instant!"
ashton and i snicker as he walks off, pale as a ghost.
"clifford! irwin! get off your asses and work!"
this is josh yelling at us; he's ashley's "assistant."
assistant? no. more like life ruiner.
ashton rolls his eyes, and stays put.
"did you not hear what i said? get up!"
"oh, what's that, ashton? do you hear something?" i say with a smirk.
i feel luke shooting me a disapproving look, he hates when i'm an asshole.
josh sighs, then walks away.
he's pretty much given up on trying to stand up to us; we're more powerful than him anyway.
luke walks over to me, peeling his shirt off and downing a water bottle.
i refrain from leaving my mouth hanging open.
"you know you could just take a picture, it would last longer." ashton says with a permeant smirk.
"shut up, irwin." i mumble.
luke frowns and gives me a kiss, "he's just jealous he can't have a beautiful boy like you, angel."
i hear a very, very small voice in the back of my head; you're right.
and that voice sounds like ashton.
i kiss back, and luke whispers, "did you hear it, too?"
i nod and whisper back, "only natural born soulmates can talk to each other in their heads."
"i can talk to calum, too." ashton blurts out.
he looks at us with confusion and worry.
"what's that mean?" luke says softly.
"i mean...if we can talk to you...and you can talk to calum..."
"natural soulmates practically don't even exist anymore." ashton states.
i sit in front of him and stare at him in the eyes.
can you hear me? i say.
ashton nods.
"we need to go back to my room. get calum."
ashton nods, then runs off to find calum.
"i'm not sharing you." luke says as him and i are walking back to our room.
i sigh, "babe, you can't fight soulmates."
he clings to my arm as we walk, "i know..."
"little angel, you will always be my one and only. always."
luke smiles at me then kisses my cheek.

the four of us are sitting on the floor, silence is in the only thing in the room.
and the silence is not awkward at all, so that means something.
we all have our eyes closed, clearing our minds.
not even five minutes, and i already hear calum's voice.
what the hell this is so weird there's no way i can be soulmates with these boys they're waaay too pretty.
i smile and feel myself blush,
calum, we can hear you, ya know.
shut up, michael.
ashton is the first to speak, "well who would've thunk."
calum giggles, "that's such a funny word."
yeah, soulmates.
that's defiantly the word for it.

ooooOooOooo calm is real y'all
