"Bye Takeru!" Lily calls out waving to Takeru who is getting inside the day care.
"Bye Lily and Chloe noona!" Takeru calls out, waving to us. After he gets out of our sight, we both rush to the bus stop not wanting to miss the earliest bus back to our apartment.
"Do you think Abi's home already?" I ask Lily when we sit on the empty seats.
"She should be, I mean, she left the apartment an hour before we took off to take Takeru," she says. I nod, agreeing to what Lily said. I look at the watch on my wrist before estimating the time we have to prepare Takeru's birthday party. About three hours...
Lily unlocks the door to our apartment and to our amazement, there are six extra people other than Abigail in the house, unpacking things from the plastic bags.
"Whoa, what happened here?" I ask, stepping back.
"Oh, we bumped onto each other in the shopping mall," Abigail explains.
"We thought we could help out, you know," Chen says, shrugging his shoulders.
"Since we lost the paper scissors rock..." Tao mutters under his breath.
"You lost again, Tao?" Lily asks, covering her mouth to muffle the laughter that escapes. Tao gives Lily a blank stare before shaking his head and sigh dramatically.
"Well, if you want to help... we should do it in groups of three." Lily says, taking the ingredients for making a cake out of the pantry, "Obviously, I'll be baking,"
In the end, Lily gets to bake a cake with Tao and Kai as her companion. Abi gets to blow the balloons and prepare the decorations with Chen and Baekhyun and I am stuck with Luhan and Chanyeol for putting the decorations up.
"Should I blow this balloon bigger?" Baekhyun asks Abi while holding out a balloon bigger than his head.
"It doesn't really matter, as long as it doesn't pop," Abi says. As soon as she said that, the balloon pops in Baekhyun's hand causing me to nearly fall off the sofa. Abi laughs at Baekhyun before continue blowing air into the balloon in her hand.
"I told you!" She smacks Baekhyun on the arm and he laughs even more.
"What do we actually do?" Chanyeol asks, leaning into the sofa.
"Well... since there are no decorations to be put up yet, I guess we could just relax," I say, shrugging my shoulders.
Luhan laughs at my statement before leaning against the sofa. Chanyeol puts his arms at the back of his head and look at the ceiling.
"Best job ever," Luhan says suddenly, "Takeru really is a lucky boy huh."
"Hmm, what do you mean?" I ask, taken off guard.
"Because they have three kind noonas that look after him," Luhan says.
"I thought you were going to say that cos he's met us at such a young age... but that's true too!" Chanyeol says, jokingly.
Abi who has been listening to our conversations chucks a pillow at Chanyeol. "Cocky much?"
"That wasn't cockiness, that was an appreciation," Chanyeol says, pursing his lips.
"That literally does not make sense." Chen raises his eyebrow.
"To me it did... now palli!" Chanyeol says, waving his arms forward gesturing for them to hurry, "Finish blowing the balloons."
"You know... you could always put the confetti up," Tao says, from behind the kitchen counter, his head propped up by his arms. By the looks of it... I don't think he knows what to do to help Lily.
