Chapter 16: Disappearance

I'm really sorry for not having updated in a long time, so I tried to make this chapter long to make up for it.  I kind of felt that this chapter lacked something especially at the end. I felt like I could have done a bit better at the end, but hopefully I can do better on the next chapter.  Well with the name of the chapter you guys can pretty much guess what's going to happen....maybe.  I hope that I didn't disappoint any of you with this chapter, and please don't hate me for what you're about to read.  Also sorry if something doesn't make sense.

The following morning everyone had woken up at a later time than they usually wake up, since they did go to sleep nearly at midnight. But there were a few people who wished that they could have at least slept a bit longer.

(Giotto's and G's POV)

(Seven In The Morning)

Currently Giotto was sitting at his desk signing papers along with G who was helping him. The ones that had been responsible for the paperwork were currently repenting for their actions after Giotto had given the right punishment for those individuals for causing him so much paperwork to flood in in the early hours of the morning.

It seemed like the day before the party a certain pair had gotten in some....trouble with their "friendly play", and a few "light" threats towards people for staring at someone in a very indecent way according to a certain illusionist.

"I can't believe they did this much in just one day. So many papers, it's already been two hours and it feels like we've barely made a dent in the pile." Giotto sighed as he placed a signed paper on a stack in the corner of the desk.

G placed his quill down and massaged his hand, "Well they are Daemon and Alaude you can expect anything from them. It wouldn't be surprising if you received a complaint from the royal family, but I know they wouldn't go that far....probably."

Giotto sighed, took a drink from his coffee and continued to sign away.

~Flash Back~

(Four In The Morning)

One of the butlers had been standing in front of one of the bedroom for a few seconds before taking a deep breath and knocked. After the first two knocks no one answered so he knocked again. After a few seconds he got a response. The butler opened the door went in and closed it behind him.

"Is something wrong?" Giotto asked as he lit one of the candles next to him.

"Not exactly, but something had happened the day before yesterday. Just a few minutes ago, a few papers were delivered. I am rather surprised that they sent someone at such an hour."

Giotto frowned, "Such hour? What time is it Johan?"

"Four in the morning sir."

"F-four in the morning! What kind of papers were delivered?" Giotto asked fearing the answer he might get. He wished that it was just papers to confirm an alliance or, maybe another invitation, a lot of them.

"I didn't look at them. It's not my place to know what they are, but I was told by the person who brought them that they wanted all of these signed for damages caused by two of the people under your care."

Giotto who had been walking towards his closet stopped, and turned to face Johan, "Under my care?" Giotto frowned in confusion for a few seconds, "Who was it. And what happened." Giotto demanded as he clenched his hands thinking of the most probably candidates for causing trouble.
