The three friends arrived at the castle's entrance, running into Vanellope.
"Oh, hey guys" she said with a smile, "I was just about to come out and see you guys. Ain't that a coinkidink?"
"Um yeah, about that..." Felix said, taking his hat off and holding it in front of him, "...we need to talk."
"Yeah, it's kind of a big deal." Ralph followed up.
The little girl looked slightly confused, "Oh...okay then? What's the big whoop?"
Calhoun hand motioned to the castle's doors, "Well, you might want to sit down for this one, kid. It's a pretty big deal."
While confused as to what was going on, Vanellope let her friends in the castle.
She turned to her three friends, "So, what's up?"
The three started looking at each other awkwardly, trying to decide who would deliver the news. Ralph lightly tapped Felix on the shoulder, signaling for him to talk.
"Um...well..." the handyman hesitated, "You know after Ralph defeated all the cy-bugs in Sugar Rush, and King Candy was presumed dead?"
Vanellope gave a sarcastic look, "Lemme guess, he's still walking around the game today as a ghost?"
Surprised that she was right on the spot, they all nodded in unison.
"Yeah, I get that a lot." she responded, "All of the racers just won't stop talking about how he possessed Gloyd yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if word spread out to the rest of the arcade."
Ralph gave a nervous look, "Okay, well it just happened to us a few minutes ago. He possessed Felix and started talking about how he wanted his code to get fixed so he could die or something like that. It was actually pretty hard to watch."
"He was even driven to tears." Calhoun added, "The man could've cried us an ocean."
Vanellope shifted to a more serious tone, "Yeah, that's almost exactly what happened with Gloyd and them. They said he started going on about he wanted someone to get to the code room and somehow rewire his code to the game – which is not happening by the way; not by a long shot."
Turbo, who was secretly following them, stopped right there and glared at her. The only thing keeping him from possessing Felix again and talking to her himself was his curiosity to see where the conversation was going to go.
"Well..." Felix said in an awkward fashion, "This question might shock you a little bit......but why not?"
Her eyes widened from the shock of his statement, "Wait, are you really asking me why I'm not bringing Turbo back?! Turbo?! He's the same guy that made me a glitch and tried to kill me by running me into a divide in the racetrack! No dip I'm not bringing him back! He's just gonna do the same thing over again!"
Felix slightly stepped back, feeling a little guilty for asking that question, "Oh ok. It's...um...not like I wanted to bring him back or anything. I was just kinda curious, is all..."
Turbo was suddenly filled to the brink with rage. He wasn't about to let Vanellope just shrug off an end to his suffering.
"Why you little-"he gritted through his teeth, as he darted towards Felix to possess him once again.
Ralph shrugged, "Well, that's pretty much all we had to say. We didn't know if you knew or not."
Suddenly, as they were about to leave, the now possessed Felix gave Vanellope a glare full of hatred and anger. "You better listen to me you little glitch!" he shouted through his gritted teeth, "I've been wandering through this candy-coated hell after you reset the game! Don't you dare think that I'm going to put up with another second of being completely isolated and alone while you go and rule your little happy land, you've got another thing coming, little girl!"
He let out a little angry laugh, "People better start holding me back now, because you're REALLY GONNA GET IT NOW!"
Ralph quickly grabbed Felix in his hand before he could dart over to Vanellope, as he struggled to get out of the giant hand's grip.
The young president calmed down, almost laughing, "Wow. I was actually intimidated there for a second, but now you're just on the verge of ragequitting!"
Turbo gave her a menacing glare, "Oh, you think this is funny, don't you? You think that my nonstop falling into madness is just a joke?!"
"No, it's not that," Vanellope responded mid-laugh, "It's just that you're just so upset! What are ya gonna do, angry me to death?!"
He stopped struggling in Ralph's hand, "You don't even understand, do you? I've been completely intangible for Litwak knows how long, and it's been driving me crazy! The worst thing about it is that I've tried multiple times to save myself, but I can't. It's not that it's too hard or anything – it's physically impossible."
The blue-clad man looked downward, "...I've just given up......"
Turbo glitched out of Felix's body, leaving him surprised to find out he was in Ralph's tight grip.
"Ralph?" he asked in a confused tone, "Why am I in your hand?"
The wrecker apologized for the confusion and sat his colleague down on the ground, "Turbo got in your body again and attempted to strike Vanellope, so I had to pick him up. Again, sorry about that, though."
Calhoun kneeled down and looked at her husband, "God, I wish he didn't do that. He's just using your body to guilt trip everyone into feeling sorry for him, when in reality he's probably plotting some sort of revenge on us."
Vanellope turned to him, "Turbo was just so angry at me that I couldn't help but laugh. I know that probably makes me sound like a jerk, but c'mon – he just reminded me too much of when people take video games too seriously. You know when they're just screaming at the screen because they lost something? He acted almost exactly like that towards me!"
Her smile died down, "But then he just kinda stopped. He started talking about how he wasn't able to get out of the game and how it was just driving him crazy..."
Ralph started to get concerned, "Kid, are you okay?"
The little president sighed, "I'm fine. At least he actually deserves it."
Felix looked at her with a frown. He honestly wanted to say that Turbo didn't deserve what he was going through, but he couldn't decide if he actually believed it or not. Did Turbo deserve such a punishment? He did do plenty of horrible things, but he was still his friend. He couldn't just sit back and watch his friend suffer in such a way.
Vanellope perked up a bit, "Well, let's just go do what we were going to do in the first place so we can all lighten up. I don't wanna talk about such a downer anymore."
Her friends all agreed, as the four of them walked out of the castle, leaving Turbo standing there alone.
The invisible racer blankly stared at the castle doors. "Well, this is it," he said as all hope drained out of him, "That was my final chance at redemption. Looks like I'm stuck here for good."
He let out a chuckle, "It's officially game over for me now."
