World Tours Are Not For Girlfriends

You glanced outside the hotel room at the sea of fans waiting for the lads to appear. Already finished with the Asian Tour, you and the lads just arrived at Paris for the European leg of the tour. At first, you find it thrilling. Hello, it's Paris! The City of Love and Lights and what better way to enjoy the city than with the love of your life right? WRONG. There really should be another note to that and that is: May not enjoy when your boyfriend's a mega superstar and always being chased by fans.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?"

You look up and watch Niall walk up to you in his baggy pajama bottoms and no shirt. Yep. Shirtless superstar boyfriend walking up to you with a super cute bed head. You can feel your cheeks burning at the sight of it all.

"Why?" you ask, forcing yourself to look away from his shirtless body and into his twinkling blue eyes.

"What do you mean why?" Niall asked, feigning innocence.

"Oh shut up," you said, rolling your eyes and looking back at the crowd below.

Niall laughed and hugged you, making you feel his skin against your covered back. You suddenly felt a little sorry that you did not wear your spaghetti-strap blouse instead and that worries you. Just a tiny bit.

"Why are you spying on the fans?" Niall asked, his tone a little serious.

"I'm just curious," you answer.

"I love them all," Niall whisper. "I wouldn't be where I am if they're not there."

You peek up at him and raise your eyebrow. "Just them?"

Niall smiled. "All of you. I wouldn't be where I am without all of you but most importantly, I wouldn't have found you if I'm not where I am right now."

Your joking smile disappeared. He's right. If it weren't for his superstardom, you wouldn't know him. You wouldn't fantasize about him, go crazy for him, and you wouldn't love him. Thinking about it hurts you more than it should.

"So I'm not only thankful for the fans because I got famous and got to do what I've always wanted to do," Niall continued, his tone serious. "But I'm also thankful because all of this led me to you, my sweet princess."

Your heart is banging against its ribcage and you marvel at the amount of love you always feel whenever Niall is there even though you've only been together for over five months now. The first time you fell for him as a fangirl until now, the feeling is consistent. The love in your heart is alive and you say a little prayer to God that it'll last forever because at the moment, you have no idea what to do if it'll all go away.

"You say the sweetest things," you start. "Sometimes I feel like I'm in a story and this isn't real life. Sometimes I feel like it's just fantasy or a dream and I'll wake up and you won't be by my side. But then you'll be there and my heart would do this somersault and I know that my heart isn't mine at all anymore. It's been yours since the beginning. Always has, and I think it'll always be yours."

Niall grinned. "What's up with Paris? We end up getting all mushy and romantic. I don't mind it but I think the romance is a little bit more than before."

You laugh at Niall and kiss his cheek. You can't help it. He's just too adorable like a panda with his bamboo.

"I don't know about you but I need a proper coffee in a little Parisian café," you said, standing up and going to your suitcase for your jacket. "Do you wanna join me?"

Niall glanced quickly at the crowd and you feel your heart drop a little bit. Of course. The fans outside. He'd be torn to shreds and the people would just be up and coming with their photo opportunities. Who knew that thinking about it would annoy you?

"You know what? It's fine. Rest up, sweetie. You're exhausted and the concert's tomorrow. You need strength. I'll be back in a jiffy for the football game though. Don't watch it without me," you say, wrapping a scarf around your neck to finish the look.

"You do realize you'll be mobbed too?" Niall said, looking at you with that amused lovable look. "Our pictures' been global since that trip at your grandparents'. They'd recognize you."

"Oh shush. I'd be practically invisible without you and with this scarf-sunglass duo, I'd be a ninja," you say, smirking. "I'll just get coffee and get all Parisian."

"Maybe I ought to accompany you," Niall said, his look concerned.

"Stop it Niall. I won't be invisible with you, not that I don't want you around with me. I just don't want you to get mobbed on your rest day," you said.

"Take Nigel with you at least," Niall said. "For transportation and security. I don't want my princess getting hurt."

"Fine," you said. "But sometimes you really do need to take the overprotectiveness down a notch."

With one last kiss, you went away. This will be the first time you get to tour a place without Niall, even if you don't get to go out much because of lessons and being a pesonal assistant to Niall when they're doing concerts or recording. The last rest day, back in Bangkok, he took you to this secured but beautiful restaurant. Surprisingly nobody asked for anything from Niall and the rest of the night was just the two of you talking and laughing. You smile at the memory until you hit a solid wall--er person.

"Nigel!" you exclaim, embarrassed. "I am so sorry!"

"No worries, Miss," Nigel said, smiling. "Niall asked I accompany you to your Parisian tour. How come he's not coming along?"

"Exhibit A, there's a huge crowd outside. Niall almost did not want me to go because of that for he fears I'd get mobbed. Exhibit B, I made him stay. I want him to rest. He's been so exhausted these past few days," you explain. "I'll just get him his Parisian croissant or maybe creme brulee when I get back for the football game."

Nigel smiled and said, "Sir Horan is lucky to have you. Most girls would have loved to parade him around like a trophy of some sort."

You blush at Nigel's words. "Well, you should know by now I'm not most girls."

"No, you are not," Nigel agreed. "So which café are we going?"

You looked outside where the crowd is still chanting "ONE DIRECTION" into the wind.

"Well, I can't really tell from the crowd," you say.

"Let's get to the parking lot," Nigel suggested. "On foot, you might get spotted."

"Oh come on, not you too," you groan. "I won't get mobbed by the fans. I'm invisible when Niall's not by my side."

"Not according to those fans," Nigel said, nodding at the entrance of the hotel.

There's a group of fangirls who spotted you and screamed, "THERE SHE IS!!!"

You felt like your legs turned to stone. What is happening? You watch as the group of girls made a mad dash to you and before they got five feet near you, Nigel plucked you out from the ground and half-dragged you to the elevators for the parking lot.

"What. Just. Happened?" you asked slowly. "I know fangirls know the lives of their pop idol back and forth but... What. Did. They. Want. From. Me?"

"You're famous by association," Nigel explained calmly, opening the car door of Niall's special van and letting you inside. "People see you and they recognize you as the girlfriend of Niall's. That's extra dangerous since Niall's fans are mad crazy to be Niall's only princesses."

You nodded at what he said as the words try to sink in.

"Anyway, where to?" Nigel asked, after strapping himself in the driver's seat.

"Farthest most secluded café," you answer remotely.

Nigel grinned and turned to the wheel. "I know where to go exactly."
