*Nicole's pov*
I could feel it today was the day.
It was now the 29th of December, and nothing had happened. I could feel it the minute I woke up, it was much colder than usual.
I sat up in bed to find Luke bent over the bed with his head in is hands looking down at the ground. I moved over to him and put my arm round his shoulders. He looked up at me and we both nodded we knew what each other meant.
I had a shower and dried my hair. I put on tights and then leggings on top of them to keep me warm. I then put on a vest top then a jumper also to keep me warm. I then put on my long length boots, we never wear shoes inside but today was different.
The minute I came downstairs I knew that everyone knew today was different. We were all dress with as much warm clothes as possible and wearing foot wear.
We went on as usual until 12 o'clock. We all sat around the TV but it wasn't on, we sat there in complete silence . I needed to go to the toilet, so Luke came up and stood outside the door while, I peed.I came out and we sat at the window ledge.
"Whatever happens just know I love you Nicole" Luke said.
"Don't say that Luke, you make it sound like one of us will die today" I whispered.
Luke just looked at me with his eyes, giving me a look that confirmed that one of us could die.
We sat for about 10minutes until Luke went out the room and down stairs.
I heard him saying to everyone to take one or something.
He came back and sat down beside me and handed me a gun.
"Take this, just incase something happens. Only use it if someone is about to kill you other, wise keep it hidden" Luke said
"What? Where the hell am I suppose to hide it" I said.
"I don't know in your pants, in your bra" he said.
After dealing with hiding the gun on me we sat at the window for another half hour.
Luke suddenly jumped up.
"That's them coming" he shouted as 6 black ranger rovers drove up to the house.
We ran down stairs and Luke grabbed Sarah's hand, and my hand and took us to the back of the house.
"Okay I want you two to stay here until we deal with them"Luke whispered as he left us in the kitchen. I felt in that very moment I could throw up. I kept hold of Sarah's hand which was shaking as much as mine.
Everything was silent all you could hear was us heavy breathing.
The glass windows about us smashed suddenly, someone was shooting them. I put my hand over Sarah's mouth to keep her quiet , they wanted a reaction to know if anyone was here or not. We heard footsteps outside in the snow but they were getting further away.
In the other room I could here the front door come down and Luke speaking. Then a gun shot and that was when I started to cry.

It'a all going down now isn't it, hopefully I will update tomorrow. Only about 5 more chapters until then end.
