Y'vonne blinked her eyes open halfway, lifting up to wherever he was. Her vision was blurry from the drugs when she first woke up, so she had to adjust to it. As she wiped her eyes, she glanced around and seen that she was surrounded by and sitting on top of a cloud. When she glanced in front of herself, she seen a large golden gate with a beautiful city on the inside.
Her eyes widened as she stood up in the heavenly place. It was at sunset, so it looked prettier than she thought that it would.
"Woah." Y'vonne whispered, staring at the gates with her mouth and eyes open in a daze.
Meanwhile, Trayvon, Oscar, Benji, and Victor were making their way home from the park. However, one person didn't show up.
Wendell.
"Where the hell this nigga Wendell at?" Oscar growled as he tossed his blunt to the side.
"Ion know." Victor shrugged. "I stopped by his house earlier like I always do and he wasn't there."
Meanwhile . .
Wendell called Latoyia yesterday when he got home. They winded up having small talk, describing things about each other. He convinced her to allow him to take her on a date, but when she said that she couldn't go anywhere because of the baby, she decided to allow him to come over. When he arrived at sunset, Latoyia opened the door and watched as Wendell smiled and pulled out a dozen roses from behind his back. He was dressed in a gray Adidas jogging suit.
"Tada." Wendell smiled.
"Oh my gosh. Thanks!" Latoyia smiled as she took the flowers, holding her two month old. "This is my daughter, Ayana."
"Hi Ayana!" Wendell squinted as he placed his index finger on her cheek.
The baby was so young that her head couldn't stay in one place. The babies head bobbled around the place as her eyes wandered around her surroundings as well. Latoyia kissed her on the cheek then opened her door all of the way.
"Come on in." Latoyia smiled as she shut the door.
When Wendell stepped inside, he smelled some food that was cooking or had already been cooked.
"Aaaalright." Wendell smiled, running his hands together. "You got it smelling good 'round here!"
"Walk into the kitchen." Latoyia giggled.
When Wendell stepped inside, he seen that their plates were already made. Steak, broccoli and cheese, mashed potatoes, baked rolls, and two cups of red wine. Wendell gasped as Latoyia placed Ayana into her baby swing, then looked at him.
"Damn, girl!" Wendell cheered. "You made all this?"
"Yep." Ayana said as she walked over to her chair.
Wendell walked over to her chair and pulled it out for her, watching her smile as she sat down. She told him thank you as he walked over to his side of the table and sat down. They both said grace, then began to chow down on their food while getting to know each other a little better.
"So, how old is your daughter?" Wendell asked in a calm tone, looking at her baby girl in the chair.
"2 months." Latoyia responded.
"Ohhh okay." Wendell smiled.
Latoyia glanced back at her daughter, shaking her head and scrunching her lips.
"I can't believe that that son of a bitch didn't want her." Latoyia growled, giving off a slightly angry look. "He actually killed me to get rid of her also..."
"He'll pay for it." Wendell nodded. "And as a matter of fact, he's probably paying for it now."
Latoyia was quickly getting emotional because she had to cope with the fact that her daughter wasn't ever gonna have a father.
