3 years later...

Yasmine graduated high school with a 3.0 average, catching up and getting her grades together. For prom, she winded up taking Isaac to prom since they were so close. Soon after, they started dating after they graduated. The two plan to get married after they graduate college.

Wendell and Latoyia stayed together ever since Yasmine left. When the two found out that Latoyia was pregnant, they got married a 2 years later to raise her new baby and Ayana together. The two are expecting a baby boy.

As for Oscar, he's still the same person. Goofy, outgoing, and still hanging out and making fun of the girls at any chance that he could get.

Victor made a living by decorating homes for new angels who arrived in heaven. This way, they wouldn't have to worry about making them when they got there.

Unfortunately, Y'vonne's health took a toll for the worst. After trying to commit suicide by overdosing herself with pills, child protective services took Lela and Yasmine away from her since Yasmine was still living with her mother until she got an apartment. When Yasmine got her own place, she decided to move Lela in with her. Lela was now 8. However, the two still visit their mother in a mental home. If Y'vonne kept her behavior up, she would be able to leave the mental home in a month.

Listening to the message her father gave her, Yasmine informed the police on where her father was buried. Indeed, his body was hidden inside of a hidden sewage by the Kroger's down the street. His body was so decomposed that it was skeletonized. Further examination of the body shows that he was killed by two gunshot wounds to the head. In her fathers hand, were two DNA hairs that he snatched off the killers bodies. 6 months later, police arrested two men that were charged with his murder after their guns were linked to the bullets in her fathers skull. They were 2 men from his job. Further investigation found out that the men came together and killed him to take a higher part of the job AND to sell his car for money. Both of the men were charged and convicted of first degree murder and was sentenced to life without parole. Lela, Yasmine, Y'vonne, and Y'vonne's husbands parents attended every single date of the trial.

Mrs. Bakely's mothers body was never found. 2 years later, Cherie's father caught cancer and died a year afterwards. On his death bed, he confessed again and to police officers that he did in fact murder her mother. However, he never did tell where he moved her body. Cherie is still looking for her mother until this day so that she can give her a proper burial.

Also, Cherie stopped giving Yasmine therapy. They still keep in touch until this day.

As for Trayvon, he had no choice but to move on from Yasmine. He met a girl named Aquilla Flood during the last 6 months after Yasmine left. The two winded up dating four months after they left, but winded up getting more serious than they thought. Their relationship got so serious that a year later, they winded up having a baby girl named Sybrina, named after Trayvon's mother. Most of his time was dedicated to taking care of his new child. Trayvon and Aquilla are still together until this day.

Yasmine's same circle friends often ask her about the "heavens" and "gates" that she was talking about in high school. Instead of her trying to convince them that everyone she sen was real, she decided to do something she never thought she would.

She told them that it was all in her head. Yasmine wanted to keep everything that was going on in heaven a secret. She kept it to herself so that she could always know that deep down, she would be close to people that passed away. She didn't want others to have that gift.

Having not taking the anesthetic for three years, Yasmine is proud of herself. She also attends every rally against racism and police brutality along with every Trayvon Martin rally.

But three years back, something else happened....

After Yasmine left, Trayvon sat at the table in the park with his friends as usual. It was really hitting him that he would never see her again. As he smoked through his 3rd blunt, Oscar snatched it from him and flicked it away.

"The fuck is you doing?" Trayvon barked at Oscar.

"Nigga, you done ran through 3 blunts." Oscar laughed. "That's enough smoking for you."

"Like hell it is."

"Trayvon, you're only smoking like this because you miss Yas." Wendell grinned. "You never smoke THAT much."

"I don't miss her like that.." Trayvon lied as he snapped at Wendell. "Now give me another blunt!"

"You better cut that shit out before you die again." Victor growled.

"How the hell can you die again in heaven, genius?" Trayvon snarled. "Besides, I'd be able to come back to life."

As they sat at the table, they seen that the skies were pink, orange, and cloudy. This meant that it was about to get dark. As the boys were packing up their things, they seen someone with angel wings walking up to them. Angel wings were bright, so there was a large bright light shining on them.

"Who the hell is that?" Victor asked as he looked at the person, squinting his eyes over the brightness.

"Shit I don't know." Trayvon snarled, blocking the white lights away from his eyes.

As Wendell glanced harder and closer, he knew that it was only one person.

"Guys, I think that's...." Wendell gasped as his eyes widened.

It was Benji.

All of the boys jumped up and placed their hands on the sides of their heads, panting and breathing heavily as they watched Benji open his arms and smile at everyone.

"Look, y'all!" Benji smiled, getting ready to approach them. "I pulled a Wendell!"
