"What's all of this?" Zayn asked softly, getting up, well at least trying to sit up straight on his hospital bed. There were close to a hundred white roses in his room, and he had no idea where they came from. Louis shook his head, immediately getting up from his seat and asking Zayn to lay back.

"Don't move, you need to rest," He said, making Zayn huff. The two were interrupted by Liam who walked in and answered Zayn's question, "I brought them; you know you told me once that you love white roses." Liam leaned against the wall and folded his arms around his chest; Zayn glared at him and proceeded to ignore Liam's existence.

"What's he doing here again?" Zayn asked Louis, really annoyed at the fact that Liam was still in the hospital. Louis sighed.

"I've asked him a several times, but he's just not going home." They were talking as if Liam was not in the room. It hurt Liam to know that Zayn was angry at him, he knew he deserved it, but Zayn was acting stone cold and that just made him want to die. Some people hurt by words and some by action... but the biggest hurt is someone ignoring you when you value them more than anything else.

"Zayn I-" Liam tried but Zayn cut him off, he didn't even acknowledge Liam and just spoke to Louis.

"When will I be able to go home?" Zayn said, almost hurriedly. Liam looked at him with sad, worn out eyes but he overlooked Liam and just looked at Louis, waiting for an answer.

"Zayn you just woke up a day ago, the doctors are not going to let you go home anytime soon." Louis declared. Zayn scowled.

"I need to get out of here, there's a Stanford acceptance letter waiting for me back home, I need to reply." Zayn said calmly, Louis furrowed his brows, Liam doing the same. Zayn didn't tell anyone this, but the night before the game he received his acceptance letter to Stanford's medical program, that started summer of the same year.

"L-letter? What letter Zayn?" Louis inquired with a gulp. Liam walked a little closer.

"Stanford accepted me into their medical program..." Zayn started, he looked up to lock his eyes with Liam's as if trying to get a message across, "I want to leave Bradford as soon as possible"

"What?!" Liam beat Louis to it; he was dumb folded at Zayn's decision, he understood without having to think about what Zayn was trying to do.

"You heard me." Zayn mumbled fiddling with his white gown no longer looking into Liam's brown eyes.

"I heard you loud and clear, what are you trying to say? That you want to leave the place you were born." Liam snapped, trying to knock some sense into Zayn by using excuses other than the fact that he wanted, he needed Zayn in his life.

"Forgive me for wanting to go away from the place my parents died." Zayn snapped back, tears pooling in his eyes as he remembered how he had felt when Louis broke the news about his parents' death to Zayn. Zayn didn't remember anything after the accident, everything was darkness up to the point he opened his eyes and tried to adjust to the light of the curtained room in this hospital grey. The first person he had seen was a teary eyed Liam, smiling from ear to ear at him and griping his hand tightly, when Liam had given his hand a squeeze, Zayn jerked his hand out of Liam's grip, and turned his head away from Liam's gaze to the other side of the room, he would be lying if he said that he didn't see the broken look on Liam's face at his actions. Before Liam could have said anything Louis had walked in with the doctors.
