The frown on your face seems to grow with each step that you take. Your job absolutely sucks.
You’re not even sure why you’re working. Your parents, being the amazing people that they are, assured you that they would help you with not only school, but whatever other expenses you had. But yet, your independent state of mind convinced you to work, just so that you wouldn’t be such a burden to your parents. Though the job you had didn’t affect your school work or anything, it tires you out. Your social life is practically nonexistent.
But somehow, someway, you still met the man of your dreams and you’re grateful to call him yours.
Though his career is much more demanding than yours, he still made time for you whenever he can. When there were no recordings for television, recordings in the studio, photo shoots, etc, he’s by your side making you laugh endlessly, keeping you company, cooking for you, basically being the most amazing boyfriend anyone could ask for. But your relationships not a fairytale either. You’ve had your share of problems, but it was never anything you two couldn’t work out.
These past few years have been difficult for both of you. He definitely closed himself out and he wasn’t the same anymore after the accident. He hated troubling you with his sorrows so he kept to himself. You felt it was unfair since whenever you were troubled or anything, he always made you tell him what was going on. He never gave up till you told him what it is.
You two took a break because he needed it. He needed to find himself. It broke your heart, but you know he needed this for his well being. You couldn’t be selfish and beg him to stay or even be upset at him. But you stood beside him through these months, as a friend.
You’re not really sure when you two reconciled, but it just happened. One moment you two were friends, then the next, you two were back together. But sadly, with his comeback right around the corner, you haven’t spent much time with him. You two try to talk on the phone constantly, but it was difficult since when you get home from school or work, you were exhausted. Talking on the phone is the last thing on your mind.
You settle yourself on the couch, leaning your head back on the headrest. Your eyes are closing, but you’re starving and your growling stomach reminds you what you need at the moment. With the last amount of energy you had, you stand up and walk over to the kitchen. Opening the refrigerator, you find the left over Chinese food your friend had brought for you. Taking out the boxes, you transfer the contents to a plate and proceed to heat it up.
As you wait, the day’s events play in your mind, causing your frown to reappear on your face. You’re usually patient, but the customers today were just out of this world and it didn’t help that your manager was having one of those days. She practically targeted you the whole day, following you like an eagle studying its prey. Her anger isn’t usually directed towards you, but today was just a different day all together.
Your broken away from your thoughts when you hear the front door opening. Your instinct told you to duck behind the counter, but you know better. Daesung is the only person who has the keys to your apartment other than yourself. What was there to be afraid of?
Your eyes met with his, a smile spreading across your face, but it’s a small smile, one that Daesung didn’t seem satisfied with.
“Yah, you haven’t seen oppa in so long and I don’t even get to see my jagiya’s beautiful smile?” His voice is teasing you, but though he is playful, he reads you well enough to know that something is off.
You make your way towards him, wrapping your arms around his muscular figure, resting your head on his chest, breathing in his scent.
“Sorry oppa, I’m just not having a good day, but I’m really happy you’re here.” You reach up, planting a kiss on his soft lips that you’ve grown accustomed to. You’ve shared a couple of kisses before you’ve met Daesung, but no one could compare with his lips and how it perfectly fit with yours. “I’ve missed you, oppa.”
