After spending the rest of the afternoon on Saturday on movies, Remma and Miah had fallen asleep, but I was still wide awake.I created most of my music at night, because that's when my creativity is alive.
It was three am, and some drunken teenagers were wondering down my street in a state of high, one holding a UE BOOM speaker, stumbling and singing along surprisingly well.
I opened my window, observing them, watching them. They were too high and drunk to even notice I, or any other houses were there, watching them. Rap burst through the speaker, shouting meaningless yet meaningful words. It made me think.
A lot can happen when you're eighteen.
And I've only been eighteen for three days.
I laughed quietly too my self. They didn't hear me on the street.
In two days I'll have the chance to get a contract in either Mad Decent or OWSLA.
My life is as bright as the Milky Way stars above the reckless teens; I have never been so grateful and happy in my entire life.
That, gave me a trigger. I trigger and some drums. And those drums led to bass. And that bass kept me up until past dawn.
Soon, I had prepared my track list for my appointment on Tuesday. And boy, was I nervous as hell. But, not in the omg-im-gonna-be-sick way, but in the i'm-so-excited-when-can-begin?!? kind of way.
And I had a whole career of that ahead of me.
To make it, or break it.
