Ch.43 Mira's Diary

After a while of walking, Hunter, Ashlynn, and Cerise finally made it to the Tree of Wisdom. It looked like a regular tree, but shimmering gold streaks wrapped itself around the tree. The trio went up to the tree and gazed at it.

"It's beautiful" Ashlynn said amused.

"So uh, are we suppose to just ask the question?" Hunter asked.

"From what I know" Cerise said "You ask it a question, and if it brings it's branches down the answer is no, but if it brings it's branches up the answer is yes."

"Oh so we can only ask yes or no questions" Ashlynn concluded.

"Correct."

"Okay" Hunter said as he turned to Ashlynn "You ready to ask?"

"I got this" she said as she looked at the tree "Um, Tree of Wisdom, if I don't follow my destiny, will my mother live?"

They waited, and soon the tree began to move it's branches. They watched as the branches moved towards the center, and soon it began to move up. Everyone's eyes widen as the branches stopped moving when it reached the top.

"Oh my gosh" Ashlynn gasped "My mother will live."

"Looks like we wont have to use that potion" Hunter smiled.

"Well in that case, it's think it's time to go back."

"Hey I actually know a shortcut" Cerise said "I can lead you guys to it."

"Oh that be great" Ashlynn smiled.

"Okay follow me."

As Ashlynn and Hunter followed her, they soon came upon a path they've never seen before.

"Here we are" Cerise said.

"This is it?" Hunter asked.

"Yep, just go down this path and you'll be back at Ever After in just a few minutes."

"Well thank you Cerise" Ashlynn smiled.

"No problem" Cerise smiled back "Well I should get going."

"Okay, thanks for helping us by the way" Hunter said.

"Your welcome."

"Well see you in school" Ashlynn said.

"K, bye" Cerise smiled as the couple went into the trail.

After making sure they were gone, Cerise turned back and sprinted off down the woods.

By the time the sun was setting, everyone had finished the movie and were heading out of the theater.

"Well that was fun" Francis said.

"You'll telling me" Elena said "I really needed that break from all this 'Mira' problem and what's she's up to and all."

"Well uh, speaking of Mira" Olivia said with a nervous look as she motioned Mira who was heading towards them.

"Well did you have fun this evening?" she asked with a sneaky smile.

Elena gave her a frown as she turned to her friends.

"Go to the car" she said "I'll be there soon."

Before they left, Kayla gave Mira a frown as she pointed 2 fingers at her eyes and then at Mira indicating that she was watching her. After they left, Elena turned to Mira with the frown still on her face.
