Brenner stared at the phone, it hadn't rung for at least seven hours now, and even then, it was only one of the storage units' owners asking about their opening hours. Why hadn't Selene rung? He'd gotten used to her calling, sure they'd only talked twice but he felt like he knew her now. Maybe she'd gotten bored with him? Or maybe she had found someone else to talk to, someone more exciting. With a sigh he absentmindedly stroked Caelin's head, like the loyal creature he was he was seated beside Brenner staring at the little computer screens flashing through the empty hallways of the storage complex. Jumping from his reclined position in the soft arm chair he grabbed a ball off the desk.

"Hey Caelin, how about you and I go and have some fun?"

The dog's head shot up at the sound of Brenner's voice and an excited smile slipped onto his face, with his tongue hanging out one side of his mouth he rose with his tail wagging.

Grabbing the cordless phone Brenner stuffed into into his trousers pocket just incase she called, or anyone for that matter.
