Nick
Lyric & I were having a great time at Disneyland & we didn't even care that people were taking our picture, everywhere we looked. I tried to call Demi a few times in the afternoon, while I was waiting for Lyric, when she went to the restroom, but I didn't get an answer. I figured Demi was napping or just didn't hear her phone, so I didn't leave her any messages.
It was really nice to spend the whole day with Lyric, since we hadn't done a Daddy & daughter day in a long time. We'd hung out at home together, or gone to have a meal together, but spending the whole day together wasn't something we got to do often. I loved watching her take hundreds of pictures throughout the day & found it adorable when she took a selfie with one of the princesses, in the park.
After we ate some dinner & checked our sugar, Lyric batted her lashes at me. "Since our sugar is good, can I get some ice cream? Please? I saw they have sugar free ice cream." She put her hands together in a prayer position & I couldn't say no. She clapped when I said she could, then she flagged down our server, to order several scoops, consisting of her favorite flavors.
I laughed when she took a picture of her ice cream, after she'd taken a few bites, then I held my phone up to take her picture, just after I stood up. "I'll send this to your mom & tell her we'll be home soon. I'm going to the bathroom. Don't move from this booth & do not talk to anyone except our server. Hear me?"
"Yes, Dad." She rolled her eyes & I took her picture, quickly, then headed to the restroom. After I returned to the table, Lyric offered me a few bites of her ice cream, which I happily accepted. "I want to ride one more thing, then we can go home, okay?" Lyric said then put the last spoonful of her ice cream in her mouth.
An hour or so later, we were in the car, being driven home & we were having fun singing along to the radio. Lyric was laughing at me as I bobbed my head.
