The main character is a feeble excuse for a human being and needs protected. Yanderes must follow their love interest so that they may guard them from dangerous things such as stray dogs with rabies, robbers, kidnappers, accidental death because that main character of yours is a clumsy motherfucker, and even more importantly.... The yandere must protect their beloved from obtaining any sort of significant other that isn't them. Whom else will truly cherish your main character?
