Chapter 22

Cheryls POV:

“ASH!” I couldn’t believe he was here! After what he’d done to me at the wedding. No chance, he was going whether he liked it or not.

“Get out I don’t want you near me. How have you even got the nerve.” I spat and he looked taken aback.

“Chez…Cheryl” he sighed. But for some strange reason I had a feeling he was going to play nice.

“I don’t want no trouble okay I swear on me life like. Look I just came to say well done you aced it… like you always did.” I looked at Kimba who was scowling and had moved quite a distance away from me. He continued…

“All I wanted to say was sorry okay I mean it. I’ve turned into someone im not proud of. I know Ive ruined it Cheryl and seeing you two on the stage tonight proud to be together showed me what ive let go and missed out on. Im happy for you Chez believe it or not and I came here to say you know have a happy life and everything. But if you need me or ever want to talk I will be here for you Cheryl but I wont bother you otherwise.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He was so genuine it was like the old Ash.

I could see Kim frowning out the corner of my eye waiting to hear my response. I was still pissed for what he done to us though but he made the effort to be here tonight.

“Thanks Ash that means a lot. Im glad your yourself again but your not forgiven. I will talk to you Ash but that’s it, Im with Kim and yes im proud and im happy. Sorry.” I don’t really know why I put that sorry on the end but Kim had perked up a bit so I was happy.

“I understand…. I am happy for you two you know really I am and Kim…. Im sorry I put you through pain aswell. I know we never saw eye to eye but im thankful Chez has you. You make her happier than I ever could.” And with that he left.

Everyone was silent, they couldn’t believe what they was seeing. They never saw this Ash unlike me. This is why I fell in love with him but they never saw this side to him. By the time id told everyone it was too late, he’d changed.

“You alright baby?” I asked Kim who was also shocked.

“Yeah actually,” she chuckled. “I’ll be right back.”

Kimberleys POV:

“Ash wait.” I didn’t really know what I was doing chasing him but something hit me.

He turned around a smiled.

“Thank you, for being happy I mean. I don’t hate you Ash I only hated you because you had the one thing I couldn’t have. You’re a decent person when your this version of Ashley you just need to stay like this…. You will make someone very happy.”

“Thanks Kim. Wow can you believe it, were actually getting on. I plan on staying like this Kim this is more me. Ive ruined me life once with Chez and everything I don’t plan on doing it again. I know you can make her happier than I could even if I was like this with her, that’s just you two though init?” he chuckles and I cant help but smile. Why cant he have always been like this.

“Theres one thing I ask of you Kim even though I know your doing it already.”

“Whats that?”

“To keep mending her heart and mind completely. I know I broke her Kim and I also know you’re the only one to fix her.” I smiled and nodded. He was a decent person.

“I promise I will do that.” I smiled back.

“Thank you and if you don’t I will get you.” I panicked for a small while but he laughed and told me not to worry and I knew that moment he was joking and this was the Ash Cheryl first met.
