"Ron! Please, I need to talk to you!" You called after him. He ignored you, quickening his pace.

You sighed. It had been happening ever since you had told Professor Umbridge about the DA. Not that you had a choice, she used Veritaserum and the Cruciatus curse on you.

Harry, who was with him, sighed. "I think you're being too harsh on her."

Hermione nodded in agreement. "Have you even asked her why she told Umbridge?"

Ron stopped walking. He hadn't thought of that.

Taking his silence as a no, Hermione continued. "She's your girlfriend, Ron! You, of all people, should know the answer why, not me!"

"She told you?" Ron raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Well then, why?"

"Not here." Hermione gestured to all the people around them. They were in a hallway, after all.

Harry nodded. "Common room. Hardly anyone should be in there, they'll all be at the lake." The Black Lake was a popular hangout.

The trio rushed towards Gryffindor tower, almost tripping over the steps. Hermione whispered the password- hunchback- and they were in. She guided them over to the armchairs, settling herself into one and pulling out her notebook.

"So, why did y/n tell Umbridge? She was in the DA, it doesn't make sense." Harry wondered aloud.

Hermione opened her book, flipping through the pages before finding the one she was after. "Here it is. I wrote it down, in case a situation like this came up."

"Just get to the point." Ron was becoming more impatient by the minute.

"y/n told Umbridge because she was given Veritaserum and 10 minutes straight of the Cruciatus curse." She sighed.

Harry's eyes widened. "What?! But she's from the Ministry, she wouldn't-"

"That's what y/n told me, I don't know anymore than that." Hermione shrugged.

Suddenly, they heard a banging sound. Ron's fist colliding with the table.

"Why didn't she tell us? No one would be mad at her, and we could've gotten revenge on Umbridge! She's crazy, keeping it to herself!" Ron exploded.

"You haven't exactly given her a chance to explain herself, Ron," Harry pointed out.

"Besides, y/n told Dumbledore, so she didn't keep it to herself. And the only one mad at her is you." Hermione added.

"Bloody hell. I guess I'd better bloody apologise then." He muttered.

Suddenly, the portrait door swung open. You walked in, collapsing after you entered. They rushed over to you, quickly noticing your hand.

"'I must not spread rumours.' Did you have detention again?" Hermione sighed.

You nodded, moving to glance down at your hand. Harry grabbed your chin, stopping you. "No, don't look at your hand, it'll only make it worse." He knew about your fear of blood.

Ron picked you up, gently laying you down on one of the couches. You smiled weakly. "Thanks Ron."

"You shouldn't be thanking me. y/n, I'm sorry for not letting you talk about Umbridge and the DA and stuff. I should've let you explain." He apologised.

You lightly gripped his hand, silently him that it was okay. "I forgive you."
