This CH. has nothing to do with the storyline it is only dragon history and the lore of the dragon clans and how certain things came to be.
There once was thirteen great dragon clans, each lead by a clan head.
Each year there was a competition held for who there King was and Igneel always won. A dragon war broke out and the clans where split between the dragons who wished for peace with the humans while the others wanted to enslave them.
The dragons who wanted peace with the humans started to train them to kill the enemy dragons, hence dragon slayers were born.
But in the midst of this war there was a dark minded dragon slayer who became to obsessed with his growing power and he became blood thirsty, he slayed any dragon that he came across whether they were Friend or Foe, and bathed in their blood and in doing so became a dragon himself, the dragons who wanted the peace had won but suffered a great many casualties.
Eight of the 13 great plans were brought down to only a handful and one of them became extinct.
The poison dragon Clan was completely exterminated though some of their souls were absorbed into orbs, creating Dragon lacrimas.
