"Hi," Johnny said, all expressions of him being nervous was expressed on his face.
Yara turned to face the counter, and him. "Hello."
"How are you," he was running his fingers through his hair.
"Great. Something wrong, Johnny?"
"Can we talk somewhere privately?"
She nodded, walking around the counter to come closer to him. "We can sit there."
"I kinda..um..really like you," he told her, his hands touching hers. Her eyes widened for a second.
"Yeah, I kinda like you too. Although you're so annoying and--"
"And I don't like this .. You're my friend but I also feel protective of you. Which is something friends don't do. I mean I know myself I can't fall for someone else because you're in my life..."
"What are you trying to say?"
"I'm trying to say that I.. Want to be with you."
She remained silent.
"Like not just using every pickup line I know on you," he breathed slowly. "So will you give me the ultimate honor of being your boyfriend?"
"Babe," he repeated after she didn't even blink for a minute. Shock covering her features.
"Hmm?"
"Be my girlfriend?"
"Yes."
