103. Carry on my wayward son

Carry on my wayward son

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more

(INSTRUMENTAL)

Once I rose above the noise and confusion

Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion

I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high

Though my eyes can see, I still was a blind man

Though my mind can think, I still was a mad man

I hear the voices when I'm dreaming

I can hear them say

Carry on my wayward son

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more

(INSTRUMENTAL)

Masquerading as a man with a reason

My charade is the event of the season

And if I clam to be a wise man

Well, it surly means that I don't know

On a stormy sea of moving emotion

Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean

I set my course for winds of fortune

But I hear the voices say

Carry on my wayward son

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more

No!

(INSTRUMENTAL)

Carry on, you will always remember

Carry on, nothing equals the splendour

Now your life's no longer empty

Surly heaven waits for you

Carry on my wayward son

There'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry, don't you cry no more

(INSTRUMENTAL)

No more

I said I would end this at 103, so, this is the end of it and what better way then to end it with an awesome song. I don't expect anyone to get this far, but it was really for me. Thank you if you have gotten this far! Thanks for all the reads and the votes and comments. I'll make another one because I have loads more songs that I know and I'll write when I'm bored.

I own none of these songs (I however own the poem) and I hope you liked it.

Please vote and comet.
