Chapter 33

Actually after three days Angelo got to go home and today was that day. We were busy packing his stuff in the room as he came in fully dressed in his black suit.

"Now I feel normal again" he said as he entered

"Well you look normal so don't expect us to run after you anytime soon" I replied and he gave me a glare

"Santoro watch that mouth of yours" I heard him say and I laughed but a small smile played on his lips

When we were done we walked back to the car and climbed in as we drove I looked over at Angelo but he was already staring at me I smiled as I didn't know what else to do and looked back out the window.

"So what are you going to do on your first day back home boss?" Ricardo asked Angelo I looked over at Ricardo as he spoke and from the corner of my eye I saw Angelo look also at Ricardo

"I'm going to jump back to work I already missed too much" came his reply

"Workaholic" I replied and shook my head

"Well there isn't much as everything is already taken care of" Jim replied and Angelo looked at us surprisingly but didn't question

I car ride was silent but not awkward and I was glad for that. We stopped at the gate and Angelo rolled down his window as he saw the security

"It's good to have you back boss" Kid said to him and then acknowledged me

"Miss Scarlet" he nodded at me and I smiled nodding back

"It's good to be back Kid" Angelo said and rolled his window back up and looked at me

"What I learned to know everyone here and made friends as I went by while you weren't around" I said smiling and shrugging my shoulders

Angelo just looked at me and we stopped at the entrance we got out Ricardo took his bags and we walked in the house I saw Angelo look up and closed his eyes

"Are you okay?" I asked him he opened his eyes and looked at me

"Couldn't be better" he replied and I nodded walking to the kitchen

I started making dinner as I knew Angelo was starving and made Carbonara, don't ask I actually enjoyed it well it was the most delicious dish I have ever tasted I laughed to myself after I made the food I set the table and went to my room to go get a shower. When I was done everyone was sitting in the living room just talking.

"The food is ready" I said and walked out to the kitchen I got the muffs and took out the dinner I walked over to the table where everyone was seated.

"Dig in" I said and sat down

"That smells good kiddo" Jim said to me and I smiled

"Since when did you learn or eat Carbonara I thought you said it didn't look appetising?" Angelo took a huge piece on his fork

"Well so you know I learned to love it" I smiled and watched as he took a bite closing his eyes.

"I can say this is by far the best Carbonara I had" Angelo said and I was pleased

"Thank you" I said and we all enjoyed the dinner.

"Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do?" Angelo said and we all laughed

After a long conversation red wine and jokes we cleared the table and Angelo looked at us in a weird manner gesturing at what we were doing

"Don't ask boss" Allisio said and we laughed
