Aphmau's POV
"GARROTH?" Laurance yells.
Garroth laughs mechanically, then swings his sword. It passes only centimeters away from my face. I can feel the aftermath drift from the sword whisk onto my face.
"GARROTH!" I'm the one yelling this time.
Garroth looks down, "There is no more Garroth," He says in a cold tone. I glance at Laurance, who's already looking at me.
A nervous expression paints onto his face. Laurance inches closer to me, "Are we going to have to kill him?" Laurance asks, a gulp added onto the end of his sentence.
"Lets try to negotiate first. Killing will be the last resort." I state.
Laurance nods, then gets closer, "Laurance, no!" Cadenza exclaims.
Laurance glances at Cadenza. We hear a metal Shing!, it happened so fast, that I don't even know what happened. I look at Garroth again and see blood trickling down someone's arm. My sight narrows out and I see Travis being the one with the blood stained arm. Travis stands in front of Laurance, him being the one getting hit.
"Travis! What're you doing!?" Katelyn asks, panic filling her words.
"Protecting you all." Travis mutters only loud enough for a few to hear.
A gust of whirling smoke circles around Travis. Once it disappears, Travis is in his warlock form. The black horns atop his head had a red spark to them. Travis takes his hand and puts it on the sparkling horns. The sparkles transfer from his horns to his palms.
"Don't hurt my friends." Travis growls.
He lunges at Garroth, the sparks not leaving him. Travis gains balance and smashes his hands into Garroth's chest. Red sparkles circle Garroth's body until neither him nor Travis are visible anymore. A red beam of light shoots up into the sky, it hitting the dome's top. Light illuminates over the dome, a red sky forming. The light drops from the sky and sticks onto the trees like syrup. The light turns into goop as it trails down the leaves and bark of the trees. I look at where Travis and Garroth were but they seem to be... Missing?
"TRAVIS!" Katelyn screeches.
I whip around in the direction of her voice to see Travis laying on the ground, unconscious.
"GARROTH!" Cadenza yells.
Katelyn rushes over to Travis, her kneeling down beside him. I turn in the direction of Cadenza and see Garroth on the ground, unconscious as well. He's in his normal form, tho. I hear a grunting noise, so I turn around and see Travis waking up, "Travis, what'd you do!?" I question. Travis' eyes widen as he sees the red goop on the trees.
"GUYS, DON'T LET THE GOOP TOUCH YOU!" Travis yells.
Laurance quickly swipes his hand away from the goop falling from the tree, "What does it do?" I question.
"IT WASHES EVIL AWAY FROM THE SOUL. IF THE GOOP TOUCHES YOU, IT'LL RETURN AND IN BIGGER AMOUNTS." Travis informs in a loud tone so everybody can hear him.
Everyone crowds to the center of the clearing, where no trees are laid. Laurance and Aaron drag Garroth over to us. I rush to Travis, "Why'd you do that?" I question.
"I washed the evil parts of him out. He- He can't go into his Jury Of Nine form anymore. Not... Not unless the goop touches him." Travis pants.
For some reason, he seems pretty out of breath. It's probably because he's regaining his strength, though.. I can't blame him. I hug Travis, "Thank you." I mutter into his ear.
"No problem." He replies.
I hear a sniffing noise, then I release instantly, "Did you sniff my hair?" I ask, smirking.
"N-No!" Travis stutters nervously.
"Ya little liar." My smirk grows.
"DID NOT!" Travis crosses his arms like a little kid, joining on with the joke.
"DID TO!" I reply in the same, childish tone.
"Ok, ok, you two babies, we gotta get to work." Aaron breaks everything up.
Travis unravels his arms, a neutral and regular look plastered onto both of our faces. I glance at Aaron, "Is Garroth awake?" I ask, regaining the seriousness of everything.
"He's starting to wake up, but he's not completely conscious." Aaron explains.
"Good... Thanks." I say.
Aaron replies with a nod, then steps back over to Cadenza and Garroth, "Lets get out of this mess..." Travis groans as he starts to walk.
Travis' walking is now like limping. Katelyn helps him walk as Laurance helps Garroth walk. Aaron and I lead everyone as Cadenza trails shortly behind Laurance and Garroth. I hear a humming in the distance, so I wave everybody in the way that it's coming from.
"It could be help." I whisper.
Nobody questions it, so we continue walking through the forest until we reach a small cottage. A old woman with a gray bun in her hair stands at the porch.
"Oh, hello, little children!" She exclaims, a smile appearing on her face.
She seems harmless, "Uh.. Excuse me miss, but what're you doing here?" Laurance asks politely.
"I've been here since the 50th Hunger Games." She smiles.
"Your name?" I question.
"Maggs." She says.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Maggs." I smile.
She lets us in, "You all must be starving!" She exclaims, "I'm so sorry that you guys have gone through all of this." Maggs apologizes.
"It's not your fault." Aaron says simply.
"Ooh, but I know what it's like. Absolutely awful! I'm so, so sorry." She apologizes, relating to our situation.
"Why're you still here if there's a third round?" I ask.
"When I was in the games, there wasn't a third round. People thought I was dead, so I just camped out here and eventually made a house." She smiles.
"Is there anybody else here?" I ask.
"One person, this way." She says.
Maggs leads us through a hallway until we reach a room, "Zane! Come out please!" Maggs calls out.
Garroth's eyes widen, "What's wrong, Garroth?" I ask.
"Zane as in... Zane Ro'Maeve?" Garroth questions.
Maggs turns around and nods, "That's my brother! I thought he died!" Garroth exclaims, happily, "He's not dead!" Garroth cheers.
I hear a grunt, then the door opens. A boy with black hair and a blue eye comes out of the room. A mask covers his mouth and nose, with his hair covering one of his eyes. Zane's eyes look at me, then I feel myself being pushed against the wall. My vision focus' and I see Zane standing in front of me. He's the one pinning me to the wall.
"WOW, WOW, WOW! SLOW DOWN, ONE-EYE!" Aaron exclaims loudly.
Aaron grabs the back of Zane's shirt and pulls him back with a harsh force, "So... Are we living here now?" I ask, not wanting to be too straight forward.
"Of course!" Maggs exclaims. I guess this is where we call home now...
