So, as I've mentioned, this story takes place in a universe created during a Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
This means a lot of this world is influenced by D&D.
If you aren't familiar with D&D this story may be a bit confusing at times but I'm sure you'll get the gist of it.
Another point to mention: you'll notice the main character is referred to as "Ara" and not "Arya". This is because Ara is her child name and Arya is the name she adopted when she officially saw herself as an adult. She is a child for the majority of this story and will therefore be mostly referred to as Ara by other characters.
