Chapter 3- Now You Know The Big Secret

"So did you find anything out?" Colin asks and I shake my head. Should I tell him about Charlie? No I shouldn't, it's probably nothing.

"Nope. Nada" I say and he smirks

"Then we can print out photos!" He says and I sigh

"Yes, let's start" I say while printing out the posters and Colin has an evil smirk on his face, I swear sometimes this boy  is too much.

"Alright! Monday morning at practice we will put these up and find our mystery girl" He says and I roll my eyes

"Your talking about her as if you want to ask her out" I say with a chuckle and he smirks

"Who says I don't?"

"Colin, you don't know what this girl is really like-"

"I don't have to, I know that she's deep-"

"Those are her thoughts! She's not deep" I say loudly to make sure it goes through his head and he rolls his eyes. My phone vibrates and I unlock it and see that it's a text from Charlie

C- Sorry I had to leave early
L- Don't worry about it, it's not a problem
C- I just feel bad, I'm supposed to be helping you, not bailing on you
L- I mean it, don't worry about it, it's not a problem
C- ...alright, but I'm sorry
L- Oh my god Charlie stop this! 😂
C- I can't, it's my nature to apologize😂😂😂

"Hello? Earth to Logan" Colin says while snapping his fingers in my face and I look up

"What?" I ask and he smirks

"You still like her don't you?" He says and I chuckle

"Me? Nah"

"Well then you won't mind if I ask her to the Cotillion?" Cotillion. The one thing that everyone dreads. For some reason, here they make the age limit from 13-17 and we have been in it since we were 13 except Charlie, she only went in 8th grade and then she stopped.

"She doesn't go to Cotillion anymore" I say with a smile

"Well we will see about that" he says while getting out his phone but I stop him.

"Okay fine. I still like her. It's pathetic I know, I have been chasing after her since we were 12 and she never showed anything back" I say and he shakes his head

"Your not pathetic, your just a hopeless romantic and that's adorable" he says while pinching my cheeks and trying to imitate my older sister Jax.

"You know I don't like it when you do that"

"Which is exactly why I do it. Don't you miss her?" He asks referring to Jax and I shake my head

"No. I'm going to see her next year at college probably and I am not looking forward to that"

"Well I am"

"We all know why" I say while rolling my eyes. Two years ago when we were 15 and she was 16, Colin kept asking her out and she kept a saying no but once prom came around, she didn't have a date so she asked him. The night ended with him getting a kiss on the cheek and he was on cloud nine for days.

I get another text from Charlie and I smile as I read it:
C- Ethan's best friend just hit on me😂 he said "roses are red, violets are blue, candy is sweet and so are you"
L- lol hang in there, he's like Colin, he'll go away eventually😉😂
