The doctor appointment

The day after my birthday, we made an appointment at the doctor, to check on the baby and see how long I been pregnate as well.

We arrived at the doctor half an hour before, our appointment. Mark wanted to be there in such good time, before. I kinda understanded him, and then kinda not. But he was so excited to become a daddy soon.

We finally came into the doctors office and she started to check in me, asking me questions about if I had felt any nausea and so.

Then she took a ultrasound scanning, to see the baby.

She started to look nervous, which both made me and Mark look worried at each other.

"Uh, just second, I need to get another doctor to look at this" she said and stood up

"Oh, no" I said

"Shh, baby. It's probably nothing" Mark said comforting and sqeezed my hand

The doctor came back shortly after with another doctor, the second doctor took a look at the screen.

"You're right, Maddy" he said and stood up and walked out of the room

"Right about what?" I said nervously, squeezing Mark' hand tighter

"Well. Mr and Mrs. Fischbach, I have some good news for you" she started and looked at me and then Mark

"First at all, your baby is healthy and looks perfect. Second of all, you are going to have twins"

"What?" Me and Mark said at the time

The doctor laughed at our reaction

"We see that reaction every time we tell, parents they are going to have twins" she said

"Wow, I didn't expect that" I said

"Me neither, but I don't care" Mark answered and kissed my cheek

"And you are about two and a half month pregnate, Kate" she said

"Two months?" I said and looked down at my stomach, which were quiet flat

"Yep, but with some women, their stomach doesn't change much, the first months"

"Hu" I said

"And when am I due?"

"About April, so it's spring twins, you're gonna have"

"Would you like to know the sex of the babies?" She asked

I looked at Mark

"Only if you want to know them" he said to me

I smiled

"Yes, please. Then we can start finding names for them" I said

"Okay, let me just check then" she said

After a few minuts with looking on the screen, she finally said something

"The first one, is a beautiful girl, and the other one is a...... Boy!" She said and smiled at us

"Congratulations" she said

"Thank you!" Mark and I replied at the same time

We were even more excited now, we were going home to pick some news for our two babies

After hours of looking on the Internet, we came up with Liam and Emily Fischbach

I called my mum afterwards, she had told me too

After a few ringing tones, she picked up the phone

"Hi, mum, it's me"

"Oh, hi Kate. I'm been expecting you to call"

"How did it go at the doctor today"

"Very good, the babies looks healthy according to the doctors"

"I'm sorry, did you say babies or did I misheard?" She asked

"Nope, I said babies. We're having twins!" I said exciting

My mum yelled in the phone

"I can't wait, now Kate. Did you get to know the sex of the babies?"

"Yep, a boy and a girl" I answered proudly

"Uhhh, I'm gonna be a double grandma" she said

"Yes, yes"

"Have you picked any names for them, yet?"

"We looked at names after we came back home from the doctor" I said

"Liam and Emily" I continued

"Aww, beautiful names, for my beautiful grandkids" she answered

I talked with my dad afterwards and Mark called his brother and aunt to tell them the big news
