And never want to see you hurt.
We can't live your life for you
You have to go out alone

Hope you don't die tonight.
You dream of the crowd being with you
Caught on your every word
And the lines that you wrote in your bedroom
Striking out alone.
There's a risk every time you go out there
That your gags will fall flat on their face
But I pray to the God of the stand up
Tonight's going to be all right
That you'll be greeted by gales of laughter
And there's no chance you'll die tonight.
