"Lola Frier. Time of death: 13:46, May 4th. Cause of death: brain aneurysm."

Ki stands. Emotionless, empty holes eating away at his eyes. He grips the inside of his pocket, feeling the thick, clean material, stroking it with the pads of his fingertips. His pupils dilute as tears brim along his waterline.

Maybe it's because she's dead, but he likes to think otherwise. He likes to think he's sad because his car broke down this morning on his way to work. He likes to think it's because his love for Dr. Francesca Eve Letterman is unrequited, meaningless - he found out this morning.

He even likes to think that the girl with the bandaged head and hazel eyes didn't mean anything to him, but she did.

She meant a lot.

But he doesn't say a word. Rather, he looks at the clock and thinks of her, of how much she loved time.

And then he thinks, she didn't get enough of it.
