You've written numerous poems about her face
Remnants of unsent letters were buried in the fireplace
When you close your eyes, you remember her gaze
Along with the memories I cannot replace
A portrait of her hanged at the end of the staircase
You painted her as she smiled with grace
How can I replace the woman you once chased
When I can't feel your love everytime we embrace.
