okay so i realized that i started to do a guide to superimpose thing and i never got to continue it because i completely forgot, so here it goes.

3) this one is where you can merge something. to merge is to combine it altogether automatically. like, instead of saving it repeatedly just to put a new foreground/overlay, you would use the merge button to save the picture already with the background, and then you can go back and get a new foreground, and after you've finished, you can save it and there won't be so many photos in your camera roll.
