Chapter 11: Cinnamon Buns Anyone?

Naruto's POV

"You feeling better now?" I asked noticing she's not as flustered as before, Hinata just gave a small nod "Yes, I-I think so." She said staring at the half empty bottle with a small smile 'I wonder what she's thinking about.' I thought 'I mean if it's making her smile it must be something she likes...' I kept on thinking 'Or someone she likes...' Kurama butted in. I just shook my head 'Shut up, already.' I shouted at Kurama but he just laughed. 'Why is Kurama so chatty today?' I wondered.

I stood up "So, you think you can keep going?" I asked, offering my hand. Hinata just looked at my hand "Y-Yes." She said nervously taking my hand. 'Why is Hinata always so nervous around me?... Did I do something to her?... Or maybe she just doesn't like me?' The last thought made me kinda sad. Hinata pulled me from my thoughts "Hm... What's wrong Hinata-chan?" I asked "W-Well, you looked kind of sad... And I wanted to know what's wrong." She said looking down with a clear pink staining her cheeks. "Oh, it's nothing, dattebayo." I say giving her a big grin. She didn't say anything, she just looked at me with a closed eyed smile like she was relieved. My heart started racing 'What's wrong with me?... It's this feeling again...' I wondered as I could my face heat up. That is until a sad expression replaced the beautiful smile on her face "Gomenasai, Naruto-kun." She said looking down, my heart ached at her apology or rather because she was apologising to me. "What for Hinata-chan?" I asked confused "F-For always causing you trouble a-a-and for being a burden to you..." She said softly.

My eyes widened noticing the tears running down her face. When I saw those tears, it was like everything in the world didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was Hinata crying in front of me. And I would do everything in my power to stop her from crying and make her smile and be happy.

"Hinata-chan..." I said turning her to face me, she looked shocked when I grabbed her "You are not a burden to me..." I said with a serious face, "A-And it makes me happy when I get to help you..." I said feeling my cheeks heat up, her eyes widened a bit as her cheeks turned red as well "B-But..." She said looking down again. "No BUTS!" I said sternly as I lifted her head by the chin to face me. "You're no trouble to me, and you are not a burden, okay." I stated. Hinata looked at me speechless, all she did was nod her head agreeing with me. I just smiled seeing as I couldn't keep a straight face for long "Ya'know Hinata-chan?" I asked still holding her chin, she didn't answer she just kept staring into my eyes "I really don't like it when you cry..." I said as I wiped her tears away "So instead of crying can you show me that cute smile of yours." I said with a closed eyed smile. When I opened my eyes I saw Hinata's cheeks insanely red, I mean like really super red, as I looked her in the eyes. I think she snapped out of it, whatever she was so entranced by, when she turned her head and looked away 'Did I do something wrong again?' I asked as I mentally signed, but then I saw her smile "I will..." Was all I heard but I knew what she meant, so I just smiled as well "Good." I said as I took the packets that were on the floor. "Let's go Hinata-chan, I'm sure there's more things to buy." I said with a grin. Hinata just gave me a smile but this one seemed different, like it wasn't your average smile. I couldn't figure it out but one thing was for sure, that I wanted Hinata to always smile like that or rather I wanted her to smile like that for me.

Naruto wasn't aware that they were being watched, and it seems to be the same person that eavesdropped on Ino and Sakura's conversation.

Flashback

10 minutes early.

Kiba was just walking when he heard a very loud Ino talking to Sakura. He thought of greeting until he heard Ino say "... Cupid of love." He looked confused as he hid behind the bush 'What the hell is she talking about?' Kiba thought honing in on there conversation with his keen hearing. "I was busy helping Hinata-chan with Naruto." At that statement his blood boiled 'What's he doing with Hinata?!' He shouted inwardly. He tried calming down wanting to listen closer to see where they were "Don't bother, last I saw them they were in the shopping district." At that he immediately ran off not bothering to listen further.
