Naruto's POV
I've been jumping from tree to tree, finally catching sight of the Hidden Leaf.
'I made it!' I thought to myself, feeling slightly relieved but I still had to get Hinata to the hospital. I quickly turned back to normal, as I landed, immediately running. Two shinobi that's guarding the gate just made way for me, once they saw Hinata in my arms.
"Someone HELP!" I shout upon entering the hospital. A few nurses came until I suddenly saw Sakura "Sakura-chan!" I quickly call. She ran up to me "What happened?" Sakura asked quickly, indicating to the nurses to bring a bed for Hinata "We got attacked by rogue ninja." I quickly say a bit out of breath, looking at Hinata, noticing how pale she had gotten "Put her down..." Sakura said, pointing to the bed. I reluctantly put Hinata down. Sakura quickly examined her "Slow breathing..." Sakura said listening to her breathing "And a huge bruise mark on her upper leg." She said telling the nurses to move her inside. I quickly followed, until Sakura stopped me from entering the operations room "You're not allowed in here." Sakura said keeping me back "Why?!" I ask abruptly, moving her hand walking but Sakura just stopped me again. Sakura must have seen how concerned I was because she just smiled "I promise, she'll be fine." Sakura said. I took a slow breath in and out calming myself down "Now just sit and wait." She said as if she knew I wasn't going to leave.
Author's POV
Few Hours Later
Naruto was just sitting waiting for Sakura to come out "Please be okay, Hinata-chan..." Naruto softly said to himself.
The doors suddenly opened, Naruto quickly getting to he's feet. Naruto saw Hinata but she was in hospital robes and was relieved to see she looked fine. He was about to walk to wherever the nurses were taking her but Sakura stopped him "What are you doing?" Naruto asked "I want to tell you how she's doing." Sakura said holding up a clip board "Where are they taking her?" Naruto asked. Sakura just sighed "They're taking her to a vacant room." Naruto smiled slightly "Oh okay, so is she going to be okay?" Naruto asked. Sakura just nodded her head saying yes, which brought great relief to Naruto. "Hinata sustained a few broken ribs and her femur was slightly fractured which wasn't too hard to fix..." Sakura said but then smiled "And I assume that you fused your chakra with hers." She said, Naruto just nodded he's head "How'd you know?" Naruto asked "I felt another chakra when we healed her but also because she was healing faster than any normal shinobi... Well besides you..." Sakura said, suddenly looking at Naruto seriously "You must really care about Hinata-chan, don't you?" Sakura asked, wanting to hear Naruto's response "What?" Naruto asked "You care about Hinata-chan." Sakura stated this time. Naruto's eyes widened "I-I'm going to go check on Hinata-chan." Naruto said nervously, turning around beginning to walk "Sure." Sakura said smiling.
Naruto walked, looking for Hinata's room. But he ended up getting lost, having to ask a nurse for help. "There..." Naruto said finding the room, stepping inside he saw Hinata sleeping. Naruto made sure not to make a noise, so he wouldn't wake Hinata up. He smiled glad to see how much better she looked, but also locked on how beautiful she was asleep. Remembering how upset she had gotten because he hadn't woken her up. Naruto lightly chuckled, for the reason he didn't wake her up was because of how cute and peaceful she looked.
He quietly moved the chair next to her bed, sitting down "I'm sorry, Hinata-chan..." Naruto said looking down "You tried to protect me again..." He said squeezing he's hands together "You said you loved me... But I ruined it..." Naruto said slowly reaching for Hinata's hand "And even if you are in love with someone else... My feelings will never change for you, I will fight for you and I'll always protect you, I promise." He said holding her hand.
Sakura stood outside the room listening "So you finally see her, Baka." Sakura said to herself, smiling, deciding to leave.
