Brian's Solution

As soon as Freddie left Brian's place, Brian began to tidy up. He gathered all the photos and placed them neatly back in the envelope, then put them back in his safe. They were so disgusting, he couldn't stand to even look at them without throwing up in his mouth a little. How could two men do those things with each other? It just wasn't right.

Next, he gathered up the pile of videotape off the floor and tossed it into a plastic bag, cursing all the while. Fucking Freddie had destroyed it, and he didn't have another copy. No matter, the tape had sufficiently mindfucked Freddie, and that's what really mattered. Then he disconnected the VCR he had borrowed from Andy, and carried it and the destroyed tape out the door. After dropping the VCR off at Andy's, he went outside and threw the tape into one of the trashcans.

Back upstairs in his apartment, he called his travel agent at home. Because he was Brian May, he do such things. He needed to get you out of town, just in case Freddie was foolish enough to try to tell you what had happened. He booked a villa for the two of you in the Virgin Islands leaving the day after tomorrow.   It was only a few hours away by plane, but a whole world away.  In the meantime, he would keep you on a short leash, and hopefully Freddie would calm down and realize keeping quiet was the best thing to do.

He couldn't wait to tell you about the trip, so his next call was to you.

"Hello?" you answered your phone.

"Hey babe, um, it's Brian..." he said, as if you didn't already know that. "Look, I know things are awkward between us, and I really want to fix that."

"Well it's awkward because you lied to me," you said.

"I know, and I know it was wrong of me, and I really want to make it up to you."

You couldn't help but be attracted to his soft voice and demeanor.

"Ok..." you said cautiously, wondering what he was up to.

"You've probably already eaten dinner, but do you want to come over? I have some things I want to tell you about," he said hopefully.

"Yes, I've already eaten, but I'm going out for drinks with the girls tonight," you explained.

"Oh..." he said with obvious disapproval.

He would have to put a stop to that as well. He couldn't have you out cavorting all hours of the night, dancing and drinking and talking to strange men. But he was smart enough to know not to say anything about it right now.

"Ok..." he said uncomfortably.  "Well I've decided we need a romantic getaway."

You really liked the sound of that.  It would be great to get away from all the stress for a little bit.

"Oh?" you said.  If this was Brian's way of making it up to you, you liked the way he thought.

"How does a private villa on a beautiful tropical beach sound?" he asked.

"Really?" Now you couldn't hide your excitement.

Brian smiled.  He could still make magic.

"Yes, just you and me for a whole week on St. Thomas, and we're leaving the day after tomorrow.  How does that sound?"

You were a little miffed he hadn't asked you before he booked the trip, but you weren't complaining.  You loved his generosity and spontaneity,  and you'd never been anywhere tropical before.

"It sounds incredible, Brian,"  you gushed.

"I was hoping you would say that," he said.  "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yes," you said, "Definitely."

You were really excited about this trip.  It would be the first time traveling with Brian, and you wondered how it would go.  This tropical getaway was just the thing to get your mind off Freddie, you thought.  But then you frowned.  There Freddie was, on your mind yet again.  Hopefully this trip would help rebuild your trust and bring you and Brian closer together.

At least Brian always made you feel wanted, unlike Freddie who was hot one minute, cold the next.  He was never going to get over the fact you'd been intimate with Brian, and the sooner you accepted it the better.

Those words sounded great in your head, but your heart had other ideas.  You reminded yourself that your heart made bad decisions, and you refused to listen to it...
