I will also make a part two for this as well as the previous one shot, which was for Kamina, I wrote the two of these on the same day and as I explained in the last authors note in the previous chapter I had a bit of writers block the day I wrote these two.

It's been about a year since I came to the surface and met her; I remember it like it was moments ago. She and Yoko helped us get used to the camp, and when Bro and Yoko would go off and explore I'd stay back and get to know her. She still refused to tell me her real name though. Preferred (N/N), I don't know why she doesn't want to tell me but hopefully it's not because she doesn't trust me; It'd be understandable if it was still around the time that we had first met, but it's been a year.

While I thought to myself I looked at the drill around my neck and stared at it. I remember the day I first activated Gurren in front of her, her (E/C) eyes lit up the brightest I've ever seen. She looked so pretty how happy she was to see a gunman without it attacking their camp because of those damn Beastman. I sighed as I let go of the drill and rested my chin in my palms, staring at the ground. "If only I could tell her I liked her."

"Liked who?"

"(N/N)..." I sighed once more before I registered what just happened; I instantly shot up to see the smirking face of Kamina. I groaned "Bro don't do that!" the grown child just sat down next to me, and in the most mocking voice he could manage spoke;

"Oh (N/N) I just adore you~ wont you be mine!" my eyes narrowed in annoyance as I just rested my jaw against my hand,

"Oh shut up" He only nudged me with a more supportive and less joking smile,

"Don't be like that Simon!" I only looked away from him in response, only for him to notice how serious I was and his smile to fade. He let out a short sigh and put an arm around my shoulders, "Look, you just gotta be straight forward and tell her! Plus I heard from Gimmy and Yoko that she likes you too~" I could feel the heat instantly rise to my cheeks but I only scoffed and looked away once again.

"That's only what Gimmy and Yoko are saying... It doesn't make it true." I looked down, a bit sad that I doubted something that actually made me extremely happy to hear, but it's just a rumor passed by those two.

"Oh really, tell that to (N/N) then." I looked at him with wide eyes,

"Sh-she was there?" He nodded, ruffling my hair and causing my goggles to fall down around my neck.

"She was telling them herself, would I ever trick you with something like this?" I narrowed my eyes in a way to say yes but he just pouted, "Well I'm not this time ok?"

I took a deep breath and looked at him, "Do you know where she is?" Kamina slapped my back with a large grin on his face even as I fell forward;

"There's that confidence! Last time I heard she went with Darry to the far side of camp by the lake," I nodded and stood up, fixing my goggles back onto my head as I rushed towards the lake, hearing Kamina's voice as he yelled a good luck to me.

I was smiling like crazy as I approached the lake before stopping suddenly, a blush almost as red as Yoko's hair spreading to my cheeks. Darry was passing me with a giggle as he left the lake area, leaving me and an undressed (N/N) stuck in an awkward silence. After she had apparently realized the situation she dived under the water with a small yelp of embarrassment. I turned around and clenched my eyes shut.

"Dammit bro, you didn't tell me she was taking a bath!" I cursed at Kamina under my breath before hearing the sound of a particular someone clearing their throat. I nervously turned around to acknowledge it, only to see she had come out of the water and wrapped a towel around herself; I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly and spoke, "Sorry about that (N/N). I needed to talk to you and Kamina told me you were over here with Darry and I swear I didn't know you were taking a bath so please don't be too mad!" I clasped my hands together when I finished what I was saying. After a moment I heard a soft laugh and felt her hands on mine, my face only staying crimson from the new contact while it was trying to fade.

"Its fine Simon, no harm no foul." I stared at her a moment before nodding in understanding,

"H-Hey (N/N)?" she hummed a yes in response; making me swallow the nervousness I was feeling. I then took a deep breath and stared directly into those beautiful (E/C) eyes of hers, "I really like you and I was wondering if you'd like to have lunch in the field with me sometime!" I could practically feel the heat radiating off my cheeks from having finally told her. For a few seconds I thought she'd reject me, until I noticed the pink on her cheeks and the smile rising from her surprised expression. A smile reached my own lips as well when she began nodding ecstatically.

"Yes! I mean, definitely! No wait- absolutely!" I laughed at her loss of words and took off my jacket, putting it on her to cover her (S/T) skin up from the harsh sun before wrapping my arms around her tightly and spinning her. She laughed along with me before I slipped and we fell into the lake, only making us laugh even more.

We smiled at each other as she kissed my cheek and my blush returned. This has to be the best damn day of my entire life.
