So, Mark got to Jack's house at around eight thirty p.m. on a Wednesday.
Jack was still in tears by the time Mark got there. Mark rushed out of his car as Jack opened the door.
Mark ran up to his boyfriend and engulfed him in an embrace. Mark rubbed circles Jack's back.
Mark pulled away from the hug with a worried expression on his face.
Jack pulled Mark inside and closed the front door.
"What happened, Jack?" Mark asked.
"I ran into Emmett," Jack said, sniffling, "He tried to convince me that you hated me, a-and I believed him. I don't right now, but I did for a while, and he said you didn't care about me, and I thought you didn't, an-"
Jack was cut off by Mark kissing his lips. After the short kiss, "I love you. If I didn't care about you, I wouldn't have driven all the way over here to check on you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Jack couldn't help but smile at the slightest, just the corners of his lips turning upwards, "I love you, too."
"Do you want me to stay the night?" Mark asked.
"Please," Jack replied, "I would like that."
"Alright," Mark smiled, caressing Jack's cheek at the slightest, "Let's go on a road trip."
Mark pulled Jack out of the house. Jack laughed and complied, going with Mark.
He changed the radio station once they'd started going, and he sang loudly and obnoxiously to familiar tunes.
He and Mark laughed loudly at stupid jokes they shared. For that night, Jack completely forgot about all of the problems with Emmett and Olivia.
Mark made him happy. Why couldn't they see that?

"Mark?" Jack asked when he started driving into their old town, "We're here?"
"Yup," Mark said with a smile, "I've told my parents about us and how we're back together, and they seem to support us a lot more than they did. Have you even met them?"
"I have, once," Jack said. He remembered how Mark's parents didn't support their relationship whatsoever.
"I think they finally realized that I'm happy with you," Mark said, "And I think all they want for me now, is for me to be happy."
Jack smiled.
"I want them to meet you again," Mark said, looking over at Jack for a little bit, then returning his eyes to the road.
"O-Okay," Jack said.
Mark took Jack's hand with the one he wasn't driving with, and they interlocked fingers. Mark rubbed circles on the back of Jack's hand with his thumb.
"It's going to be okay," Mark said, "Do you want to see your mom first?"
Jack smiled, "Yeah."
Mark drove to Jack's old house and pulled into the driveway, "You have arrived at your destination," Mark said, imitating the voice of a GPS, causing Jack to laugh in the slightest.
"Why do I love you?" Jack laughed.
"Because I'm great," Mark joked, "Obviously."
Jack laughed again before kissing Mark on the cheek rather sloppily.
The two left the vehicle and knocked on the door. Jack's mother opened the doors soon later. When she saw who it was, a huge grin came across her face, "Sean!"
She hugged Jack and he hugged her back, "Hey, Ma."
After the hug she looks over at Mark, "Oh, and Mark, how are you?"
She hugged Mark shortly, "I'm good," he said smiling.
"What brought you here?" Jack's mom asked.
"Mark came over and drove me here," Jack said with a chuckle, "It's good to see you."
"It is!" She replied, "It's so nice to see you. It's been a couple months. You two are back together I presume?"
Jack nodded with a smile, "Yeah. We're together."
"I'm glad," She said.
They stayed a little longer, having a nice conversation.
"I hate to leave so soon," Mark began, "But I'm taking Jack to see my parents, if that's alright."
"Oh, yeah," Jack's mother said, "That's alright. I'll see you two later."
Then she hugged the both of them and they all said their goodbyes.
Then they were on their way.

When Mark and Jack arrived at Mark's parents' home a few minutes later, Mark turned off the car then took a deep breath.
"There's a couple things I need to tell you before we go in," Mark said slowly.
"Yeah?" Jack asked, taking Mark's hand in his own.
"Uh, a couple years ago, m-my dad died," Mark said, "So, he's obviously not around anymore..."
"Mark," Jack said, "I'm so sorry."
"It's fine," Mark said, "There was nothing any of us could do about it."
"Yeah..." Jack said.
"I told my mom that you'd be coming over a little earlier, after I got off of the phone with you. I know you didn't agree to it then, but I knew you'd probably be fine with it," Mark chuckled, "But my parents ended up splitting up, and that's kind of why I ended you and I's relationship. It was kind of bad timing, but I was really emotional around that time, and Emmett took advantage of that, and all that shit that's been going on is kinda coming back. But, anyways, before my dad died he got remarried, so my stepmom's here, too. Her name's Dee."
"Okay," Jack gave a supportive smile.
"Let's go," Mark smiled, getting out of the car. Jack did the same.
When they got to the door, Mark gave a small knock, then entered, "I'm here!" Mark called into the house.
"Mark!" Mark's mother called, quickly walking over to the door to hug her son.
"Hello, Jack," She smiled before hugging him as well.
"Hi," Jack said, hugging back, "It's good to see you."
"It's good to see you, too, hon," She replied sweetly.
Shortly after that, Dee rushed into the front room, "Mark! And you must be Jack. I'm Dee."
"Hi, Dee," Jack smiled, being pulled into another hug, this time by Mark's stepmother.
They were approving of Mark and Jack's relationship.
Jack wasn't so worried anymore.
