A few minutes of scared conversation passed, when the police car finally pulled up in the driveway.
They quickly got out of the car and knocked on the door firmly.
"Open up!" Yelled a female police officer.
"You called the fucking cops, didn't you?!" Emmett yelled, facing towards Mark, "I'm gonna fucking kill you!"
The door was kicked down at the sounds of a gunshot from Emmett, missing Mark this time.
Mark winced at the sudden movement of his dodge. He gripped his leg.
The police officers pointed their guns at Emmett, who's face was tear stained.
"Drop your weapon!" The police officers yelled, "Now!"
Emmett was crying quite hard when he dropped his guns and put his hands up.
The officers lowered their weapons and approached Emmett, the male officer putting his hands into handcuffs.
Jack stood up and went over to Mark rather quickly. Mark had made a slight tourniquet for himself with his jeans, but he was still slightly profusely bleeding.
Jack was crying so hard. He didn't know what to do and he was scared that Mark was going to bleed out.
However, soon enough, there was an ambulance at the house and they took Mark to the hospital, Jack going with.
They treated the wound and Mark was going to be okay.
As for Emmett, he was taken to jail and would later be arrested and found guilty of murder and breaking and entering.
Jack eventually moved in with Mark and was as happy as he could be.
About a month after the whole thing happened, Jack was all moved in and Mark was healing well.
"I want to take you somewhere," Mark said, walking over to Jack who was sitting on the couch and kissing his cheek.
"When?" Jack asked, "Where?"
"Now, and it's a surprise," Mark said, a goofy grin on his face.
"Oh, okay," Jack giggled, "Let me put my shoes on, and we can go."
So Jack put his shoes on, as he said, and they were on their way.
Mark had started a YouTube channel shortly before this small trip, and he posted some games. He played Amnesia: The Dark Descent to start it off.
"I love you, so much," Mark said, "You know that right?"
"I love you, too, Mark," Jack said, "I know you love me back."
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," Mark said, "And I love you so much."
Jack smiled. Mark took one hand off of the wheel and put it on Jack's knee. Jack put his hand on top of Mark's and Mark flipped his hand over to hold Jack's, similar to how they did one of the first times they spent time together outside of school.
Eventually, they got to the park they went to where they first kissed.
"Of course you took me here," Jack laughed, "We always go here."
"It's a special place to me," Mark said.
"It is for me, too," Jack said with a small laugh.
Mark grinned and got out of his side of the car. Jack got out of the passenger seat and they met at the front of the car. They held hands.
Mark led Jack - while slightly limping - to the place they first kissed. They stood facing one another, and Mark began speaking, "So, we met in high school. I liked you, you hated me. I messaged you on kik, you answered, we became friends, best friends, then boyfriends. We graduated, and I broke it off. We lost contact for years, then, out of almost nowhere, we were together again. And here we are.
"Jack, I love you so much. You mean the world to me, and I'm so happy I messaged you on kik that one day. It was the thing that started everything, and I am so grateful to have you in my life."
Mark sighed, took something out of his pocket, and got down on one knee.
Jack gasped and covered his mouth, tearing up.
"Sean," Mark said, using Jack's real name, "Will you marry me?"
Jack stayed silent, but took the ring and put it on his left ring finger.
He looked at it on his harm and cried, "Yes. Yes, Mark. Yes, yes, yes. One hundred times yes. Yes, I will marry you."
Mark stood up and he, too, started to cry. He smashed his lips onto Jack's. After the short and sweet kiss, Mark embraced Jack.
They couldn't be happier.
