Chapter 23

Jung Chaeyeon POV

My dad let me work at the shop where I used to work before. Yay, I can meet Unnie and others. At least I can get out of that place. I felt like in a jail. My dad wouldn't let me get out because of that bastard. I don't know what he said to my dad until my dad followed him.

"Good morning, manager," I greet my manager.

"Good morning too. So welcome back, "he smiled at me. I'm hoping he won't be a lion like he used to be.

I went to my locker and changed into my uniform. I miss this uniform. It was ideal for me.I helped them in front of me after that. I wiped down the table. The shop will be open in 10 minutes from now. So we need to prepare well for now. I heard the bell ring, and it meant someone was entering the shop.

"Everyone. Listen. We have a new worker here, " the manager clapped his hand to get our attention. We looked at each other confusedly. He already have three workers and now have one more. Wow. He took off his cap and smiled at us. My eyes widened after knowing who he was.

"I'm Byun Baekhyun. Please take care of me, "he introduced himself, and I saw from the corner of my eyes that he looked at me sometimes.

"Go back to your job," the manager said, and we went back to our job. Baekhyun smiled at me. What's wrong with this dude? Gosh, I want to forget him, but he hash.

"This guy really is something" Junny remarked, as if he was envious.

"Why are you jealous?" I asked teasingly. He looked at him seriously.

"What if your dad finds out about him?" His question made everything stop. I didn't think that much until then.

"Are you all right?"I snapped from my thoughts after someone pinched my nose. I sneeze. I glare at him.

"I forgot your nose is really sensitive," he grinned, and I lightly punched his hand. He whined in pain. I looked at Baekhyun, who was looking at me with an upset look.

The shop opened. The shop was filled with people. I took orders from one table to the other and sent the orders to Junny. He was in charge of making it. Baekhyun did the same thing as mine. I think my thoughts about his work here were wrong. When he is working, he works extremely hard.

I almost bumped into him a few times, but he just smiled at me. He really made me fall deeply for him. I sighed. It's almost 8 pm. The shop will close at 9 pm. There aren't many people in the shops. We used this time to relax our minds.

I sat on a table near the window and put my head on the table. I close my eyes. My body really hurts. Well, this is my first time after two years of not doing this work. It's like exercise here. Go there and there. Run everywhere.

"Drink this." I immediately opened my eyes. But I felt a bit disappointed after finding out who it was. Is Junny? He put strawberry milk on the table.

"You look disappointed. "Are you expecting someone else?" he asked me curiously. I just shook my head and drank the strawberry milk he gave me.

Message from "Dad"
I can't pick you up. Mingu will pick you up later.

"Who is that?" he asked. I just sighed. I don't want to go home with that bastard. He might take me to the club before going home. Like he always does.

"Can you send me home later?" I asked Junny.

"I'm sorry. I can't. I have something to handle, "he replied. I sighed.

"All right," I simply said.

The show closed. I decided to go home by bus. I walked to the bus stop. I felt like someone was following me. Wait, who now? I thought that Baekbeom was already caught. But who now? Haish Please God, keep me safe from harm.

I walked as fast as I could. He also followed me. I hold my handbag tightly. I heard his footsteps near me, so I threw my handbag in his face and he fell down. I took my bag, but then I looked at him. Oh no..

"Baekhyun, are you okay?" I asked him. Damn, he really scared me.

"How can you be that strong? It really hurt, "he said, and rubbed his nose. I touched his nose to see if it was fine or not, and I heard him chuckle. He was just messing around.

"Why do you follow me? I thought bad people would follow me. Maybe you want to kidnap me, "I said, which made him laugh.

"There is no one who will kidnap you unless it's me." He joked.I didn't take it as a joke. He saw that I was serious, so he stopped laughing.

" Why are you going home alone? It is dangerous, "he said seriously. He cares for me.

"Why do you care?" I asked him rudely.

"I don't want you to fall in love with another kidnapper."
