Jack's POV
Kate and I set the table for Mark's family who is coming over. Two days after Christmas we always have dinner together. Kate has been giving me questionable looks for a few days now. Doesn't say anything, just stares at me.
There's a knock on the door and I rush to the door to open it. When I open the door I'm greeted by Mark's mom with a smile on her face. She gives a hello and walks inside with Thomas following behind her. Mark comes in with a some what nice dress shirt and I smile. He returns it and I give him a quick hug from the side. Kate gives us a questionable look and sits down in her seat next to Thomas. Mark and I go sit across from our siblings. Once our parents sit down we being to dish out our food.
Conversations around the table are full of laughs and nods. Mark gently grabs my hand under the table and I squeeze it slightly. A small smile appears on my lips as I eat my pasta.
"So Sean your mother tells me that you've got a duet with this girl in your dance lessons."

"Uh...yeah."

"What song is it to?"

"I think it's First Dance by Never Shout Never."
Mark's hand squeezes mine under the table and I smile. As I keep talking about it Mark doesn't start to say a whole lot. I don't think of it too much because he knows Molly and I are friends.
Once the meal is over Mark and I go upstairs while everyone talks downstairs. I close my bedroom behind us and Mark sits on the bed.
"So exactly when are we going to tell our parents that we're dating?"

"We've been dating for three days. What's the rush?"

"I was just wondering."

"How about after five months?"

"Sounds like a plan," Mark smile pulling on my wrist and leaning back so then I fall on top of him.
A giggle escapes my lips as I stare into his eyes. There's a soft smile on his face and the same is for me. Our lips press together ever so slightly. The little peck was just enough for me and I rest my chin on my hands. As I look into his dark brown eyes I sigh with a soft smile. I close my eyes and rest my head upon his chest. Mark wraps his arms around me and flips me over next to him. A giggle escapes my mouth as he holds onto me.
"You're adorable you know that," Mark tells me.

"Of course I do. I'm as adorable as a baby kitten."

"Not even close," Mark whispers with a smile as I snuggle into his embrace.
We don't say a word after this. It's only just the sound of our breathing in time with each other's. It's not until we hear my door open that I hop off the bed and stand in the middle of my room. Mark laughs at my confused expression on my face. Kate comes into the room with a smirk on her face. She closes the door behind her and sits in my desk chair.
"How's my favorite couple?"

"W-how did you-"

"Wasn't that hard to figure out. I mean if mom wasn't so oblivious she would have known too."

"Please don't tell her about us. I would like to do it so keep your big mouth shut."

"Okay, as long as it happens soon."

"It will happen before Prom we promise, " Mark budges his way into the conversation.
Kate nods and exits the room a few minutes later. Mark sits on my bed cross legged with a blank expression. I come over to him and lay across his lap extending my body to its full length.
"Comfortable?"

"Very much so."

"What should we do?"

"You don't have much time to be here so we can't do a whole lot."

"I could always spend the night. They don't know about us yet except your sister. So it's not like it'll be a big deal."

"Very true, you should ask your mom."
