I want to dedicate this half chapter to my babes who were up my ass about this for the whole time I haven't written <3 thank you so much for pushing me, love you all so much xox :) thank you to Bemnet and Mariam <3 <3

I shrunk deeper into my grey hoodie as I stepped in the chilly mirrored elevator. Picking my level, I ran my fingers shakily through my messy knotted hair.
A dull but strong throb worked its way in one side of my head, spreading down near my right eye. My stomach rolled and I clenched the cold metal railing on the side of the lift.
Another wave of nausea worked its way in my tummy and I grabbed my over-night bag closer to myself.
I rubbed my face with a hand, peeking through my fingers to see that I was almost up to my flat.
My eyes wandered over to myself in the mirror and my heart came into my mouth at the sight of a man in all black behind me. A man who looked all too familiar.
My quivering fingers jabbed on the open doors button rapidly as my breathing quickened. My lungs felt tight and my vision blurred and blackened at the edges, my eyes glued to the man, frightened. The elevator felt too tight.
Tears clouded in my eyes and splashed dropped on the lenses of my glasses, distorting my vision even more.
An inhumane voice escaped my mouth and I flung myself at the elevator doors at a last attempt and fell breathless when they gave out to the sides and I fell into the safety of a hallway.
My hallway. I unsteadily pulled myself up and slowly looked up to face the open elevator. No one. The man was gone.
“Wow, that was what you could call an entrance,” someone commented from the end of the hallway. I jumped at the break in silence and glanced sideways at the brown haired boy smirking at me. “Someone was so eager to see me that she just couldn’t wait to get out of the lift!”
I growled as I shoved past him and unlocked my door, but the blush crawling up my cheek betrayed me. I flung it shut behind me but when I didn’t hear it close, I crossed my arms and looked back at brown hair holding it open with a sheepish smile on his face.
“Sorry, didn’t know you were so cranky. I wouldn’t have said that,” he apologized.
“Yeah, well, what do you expect? Sorry for not giving you an exactly warm greeting, but after you’ve had a long day and a man ambushes you and in a way indirectly threatens you, and you just had an encounter with someone in the elevator, you tend to get a little touchy. All I want to do right now is hear you out, take a shower and sleep,” I said waving him in. “I’m alone, I have a stranger in my flat and I don’t know what’s going to come next. Let’s get this going.”
I chucked my keys into my key bowl and marched over to the stove. Brown haired boy pulled a chair back from the island and sat down.
Hmmm… getting comfy already.
“Would you like anything? Coffee, tea, pop, juice?” I asked putting a pot of water on the stove for my chai.
“I’ll have chai like you,” he replied. My hands froze midway in putting in the second tea bag.
“How do you know I’m having chai?” I asked really suspicious now.
