Nico was spread out on my bed in his pajamas when I finally got back to my apartment. I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms over my chest as Banjo wound his way around my ankles.

"Got in another fight with Finn?" I asked.

He gave me a look that said I was right. I sighed and moved further into the room, locking the door behind me. I slowly dropped all my stuff on the ground and wiggled out of my jeans before joining him on the bed.

"So what happened this time?" I asked as I unhooked my bra and slipped it out from under my shirt.

He rolled over on his side to look at me with sad eyes. His face told me he didn't want to talk about it, so I gave him a small smile instead.

"Can I spend the night?" He asked a couple minutes of silence later.

"Do you even have to ask?" I said with a small chuckle. I rolled over so I was facing him as well and pulled the covers up over us.

I could feel Banjo hop up on the bed at our feet and he slowly made his way up until he was curled up behind the small of my back.

"How's your man?" He asked, closing his eyes.

I hesitated before answering. I didn't want to rub my happiness in Nico's face when he was fighting with his boyfriend, but I desperately needed to talk everything that happened tonight with someone. Well, maybe not everything.

Nico's eyes opened at the sound of my silence and took one look at my face before gasping and jolting into an upright position.

"You kisses him!" He accused. I could hear Banjo grumble behind me at his loud voice.

"No! I didn't!" I hissed, my face immediately reddening.

Nico stared down at me with narrowed eyes, waiting for me to continue.

"But I almost did..."

Nico laughed and laid back down next to me. He grinned over at me and said, "I knew it."

"Oh shut up." I snapped, but there was a playful grin on my face. "How'd you know?"

"Your face was sickeningly happy when I brought him up." Nico teased.

I blushed even harder at that.

"So?" Nico prompted when I had been silent for awhile.

"So what?"

He rolled his eyes and said, "So tell me more about him."

"I already told you about him." I said, looking away.

He gave me a look and I sighed. I knew I wasn't going to win this argument by any means.

"I spent the night at his place last night."

Nico's jaw dropped and it looked like he was about to say something, but I cut him off before he could think too much.

"All I did was sleep. He wasn't even there, anyway. He only came back to his place after I had woken up and was making breakfast."

"You have a weird ass relationship." Nico told me.

I couldn't help but laugh. That didn't even begin to cover what Bucky and I's relationship was like.

"Anyway," I continued, "He came back this morning, one thing led to another and the next thing I know I'm on the counter with a man between my legs."

Nico wiggled his eyebrows at me and I started to laugh again. I snuggled closer to his side with a small smile on my face.

"He's just amazing, Nico." I said, looking up at him. "Even Banjo likes him."

Nico glared over me at the small cat snuggled into my back. "Of course that brat would like your new boy before he even let me pet him."

I rolled my eyes. Banjo didn't hate Nico, no matter how much Nico complained. Banjo just isn't a friendly cat.

We fell into a comfortable silence, leaving each other to our thoughts. The sun was shining through the window, warming the sheets. If I hadn't slept in so late, I probably would have fallen asleep right then and there. In fact, I thought Nico had fallen asleep himself when he said, "So you really like this guy?"

I blushed. I hadn't thought much about how I felt about Bucky. I was comfortable around him, I felt safe. And there was no denying the attraction I felt to him.

"Yeah." I finally replied. "I really do."

Nico sighed.

"What?" I asked, looking up at his face to see what was wrong.

"He sounds bigger than me."

I couldn't help but laugh and pull away from him to look him in the face fully.

"What?" I giggled, confused.

"He sounds bigger than me!"

"So?"

"So I'm supposed to be the man in your life that intimidates the skeezeballs. But I'm guessing he's bigger than me and that wouldn't go down so well."

"Skeezeballs?" I asked, laughing even harder.

"Yeah. Skeezeballs."

"Do you know how incredibly sexist that mindset is?" I asked, giggling.

He paused for a second and then grinned before he said, "I can't be sexist, I'm gay."

I burst into laughter and rolled my eyes, "I don't think that's how that works."

He smiled at my laughter and his eyes brightened. I felt some relief. He must be feeling better if he was joking around like this.

Slowly my laughter died down until it was silent again. I looked over at him to see his face drooping again.

"I think you should talk to Finn, Nico." I told him. "You can't keep running away every time you have a fight."

He sighed and nodded, "I know."

I looked at him expectantly and he sighed louder and rolled his eyes.

"I'll talk to him tomorrow, okay? I just need some time right now."

I was hesitant, but agreed. Nico was always there for me and I will always be there for him. No matter what, no conditions. He was my person.

"You want to get chinese?" I finally asked a couple minutes later. He grinned and rolled over to face me.

"You read my mind."
