This Is My Faith

"Come with me." The soldier said.

I nodded and he started walking while I followed.

It was a long walk until I saw a tent.

It was filled with armors and weapons.

I guess this is their base...

The soldier helped me in and told me that there's someone who can talk to me inside.

I entered the tent and found someone wearing a captain like uniform.

He looks familiar...

"Hmmm? Wait. A citizen?! What are you doing here?!" He said.

"Umm... I kinda got left out.." I said awkwardly.

He face palmed and wore his glasses.

"Hey... Aren't you the guy on the news?" I said.

"Yes.. That's Me. Thought you didn't saw it since you got 'left out'." He said.

"Hey! I got a lot of stuff..." I said.

"And that's important because?" He said.

Should I show him my prototypes?

There's no use anyways.

Mind as well help them.

Or Maybe I should hide em for a while.

I shrugged.

He sighed.

"Look, just go to the tent next to this one. There should be enough food in there for you." He said.

I nodded cause I was a little hungry since I didn't eat lunch today..

I entered the tent that the commander was saying and found a lot of soldiers roaming around.

I asked for food and they gladly gave me some.

I was eating when I heard a few rants.

"Ugh! I don't even know how to read these kind of things!" A soldier said.

"The scientists left. We have no choice but to try and understand it." Another said.

I took a peak of what they were ranting about and found some basic chemical patterns.

It's for a bomb.

I decided to speak.

"I know how to read that." I said.

They all looked at me with wtf faces.

"Umm It's for a bomb." I said.

They all had hope in their faces, so I helped them.

"What do you need, Umm?" One said.

"Peridot." I said.

"Peridot." He repeated.

"I just need a few materials to construct this weaponry." I said.

He look dumbfounded.

Ugh.

"I need metals for the bomb." I said.

His face turned to an 'oh' one.

I started constructing.

Following every instruction on the paper. But improvised it a little.

I was about to get finished when I heard thr commanders voice.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Helping you guys out." I simply said.

"You're a scientist?" He asked.

"Soon to be Engineer to be exact. But these are just simple chemistry so I still remember them clearly." I said.

"Oh. Um, thanks." He said.

"No problem. There are also a few prototypes that I constructed that could help you on the war." I said.

"Where are they?" He asked.

"In my stuff that I said was important a while ago." I said.

"Heh, so that's why." He said.

I finished the bomb and showed it to him.

"You'll be useful to this group. Do you wanna join the war?" He asked.

"Hmmmm..."

Fighting demons and a possible Overlord?
Count me in.

"Sure." I smirked.
