Hours have passed.
I had already explained to Lapis what the situation is.
She just nodded at everything I said.
We were training outside when the commander got out of the base.
"Ah! Peridot! I see you're trai-wait. Who's that?" He said.
"Oh! Um. I guess I forgot to tell ya that I found Lapis in the city. Lapis..." I turned to her.
"This is our Commander. Commander, this is Lapis." I said.
"Lapis Lazuli to be exact." Lapis said, smiling.
He chuckled a bit.
"Aw Peri! You snagged one!" He said, laughing.
I blushed furiously.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"Whaa??" I hear Lapis say.
"Heh. Any ways, nice to meet you Lapis!" He said, offering his hand.
Lapis smiled and shook hands with him.
"Well since that's done. I'll be over there." He said, walking off.
But before he could pass through me, he whispered something on my ear.
"Nice Girlfriend." He whispered.
I immediately blushed and he laughed while walking.
Man that guy is getting in my nerves.
"Hey peri, you okay?" Lapis said.
"O-Oh! Um, yeah I'm fine. Let's go back to training." I said.
She nodded and we continued to train.
A few hours later...
"Alright soldiers! There are only a few more days till the Demon lord rises! We must get ready!" The commander said.
We were in a meeting.
All the soldiers saluted and continued to make more weapons, train, and battle.
Meanwhile, me and Lapis are being ordered to roam around for any demons outside our base.
We walked around the base and started searching.
"Nothing on my side!" Lapis said.
"Nothing here either!" I replied.
We then walked together, heading towards the nearby forest.
"You do know that this might be a trap right?" I said.
"A trap?!" She exclaimed.
I shrugged.
"You know demons. They're really tricky." I said.
"They're nowhere to be seen. What could they be doing at this moment?" I continued.
"I think we should go back to the base." She said.
"Good idea." I said.
We ran off, heading back to the base.
But what we encountered are armies of demons, fighting against startled soldiers.
I looked at Lapis.
She looked back and nodded.
Let's roll.
