I'm out in the pasture with Ezhno, stroking his long, silky mane. Carter is in the house, cooking breakfast.
I hear a truck coming up the driveway, and turn my head. It's a police car, and right behind them is a truck with a horse trailer attached.
I yell out for Carter, but before I know it, ropes are around Ezhno, pulling him into the trailer. I try to chase after them but I can't because a police is restraining me.
I kick and scream and bite, and Ezhno rears, trying to fight as much as he can. But there's five burly men dragging him into the trailer and even though he's strong, he's not strong enough.
I scream as the trailer drives away, tears streaming down my face, unable to move.
