Once he fluttered his eyes open, he felt nothing but pain. His throat was dry and his eyes were swollen. Everything around his was plain white, the light shining into his eyes so bright that it made him flinch. The surroundings were unfamiliar to him and that triggered him to sit up but he was pushed back down by a strong force.
His eyes shifted to the figure towering over his laying body and he immediately felt a sharp pain in his wrist, feeling a warm liquid shoot through his veins. He let out a sharp breath, trying to endure the pain but it was too much to handle.
With his eyes glued on the the girl standing beside his bed, he noticed that she had a clipboard resting against her stomach as she noted something down.
That was all because he felt himself drifted off to sleep, his eyelids becoming heavy and hard to keep open.
