Thoughts - I.like.this. It's a rare gem to find a book with a feirce, strong and manipulative woman as the lead and she doesn't shy away from that. I mean, sure there are stories out there with a strong female, but this one tops the lists becuase she is just so feirce. I can't get over it. It's a great story and I love that it's imperial China - really interesting. My only problem is that it can get confusing with the speed of the story (the gap between the chapters can be a night, couple of months and even a few years) But that's all. Also, back to the strong woman. I'm so happy about that becuase I thought she was going to be a bit of a push-over as a rule-follower but then BAM! YAS!
