Mathew's arms surrounded me from behind and I felt him nuzzling my neck, where his bite was. There was a little bruising around it, but it didn't hurt much. Instead, every time I looked at it in the mirror it was a constant reminder that I wasn't alone anymore. I had a family.

Matt sniffed and I turned to him frowning. "What is it?" I asked.

He shook his head and sniffed again. "Is just, you smell like me." He answered almost proud, a grin plastered on his face. He leaned and kissed me sweetly.

"Matt, I want to talk to you about something." I turned completely to him and took a deep breath. "We need to decide what are we going to do with both of the packs. It is too much territory for both of us take care of."

"I know. I've been talking with Liam about it." I smiled at him knowingly. I liked that he and Liam were really getting along. After all, he was our Beta. "He told me he could manage one of the territories and protect it, with help of a couple of the best warriors. This way we could take care of the other without worrying much about the other. Of course, he would always be under our command."

"And what territory are we going to choose? Aren't we now like the Crescent Eclipse Pack?" I asked confused and he laughed at the name.

"We can stay here, I trust Liam and he wouldn't be alone. My father and Michael are there to help too."

"I know, is just... I wanna let 'your people' know I'm here and I will protect them as well, that I'll be their Luna if they take me." Mathew pecked my lips, before leading me out of the bedroom.

"They know, trust me."

As the days passed, what Mathew had told me was coming true. People that belonged to his pack before we united, started coming to the Pack House so they could meet me. To see their Luna and I couldn't be more nervous. The fact that there were so many people that counted in both of us, thrilled me and excited me at the same time. It was such a huge responsibility, I was only glad I had the right people around us to help me.

On the other hand, my father hadn't accepted that Mathew and I were already the leaders. Alpha and Luna. I had been visiting him regularly, but he never said a word when I told him about everything going on. This made me a little sad, because I wanted his support and I wanted him to be proud but there wasn't much I could do.

"Luna." One of the guards interrupted me and bowed.

"It's okay, you don't have to." He stood up and looked at me nervously.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to disturb you but..we have bad news. We found trace of an intruder on the east border of the territory."

"Did you find anyone?"

"That's the problem, we did. But he wasn't alone, they attacked a couple of our guards."

"He? Do you know who he is?" I asked curious.

"Serena, what's going on?" Mathew arrived at my side. He had just returned from hunting.

"There was an intruder and he wasn't alone, but who is it?"

"It's Mr. Benjamin." The guard said and I gasped, while Mathew groaned.

"Are you sure?" The guard nodded and I turned to Matt. "Why would he attack, and who was with him?"

"I don't know, but we'll find out what he's up to." Mathew said and put an arm around my shoulders.

"Thank you, we'll stay in contact." The guard left and I turned to Matt. "Do you really think he is up to something? I mean, he was part of this pack and I did  not banish him. There's no reason for him to do that."

"I think there is." He said. "You...but don't worry Serena, I'll find him. I'll lead a team with the best warriors and trackers tonight and I'll bring him to you, I promise I won't hurt him."

"There something off about this Matt, I feel it. This is not the Ben I know."

"I'm sorry." He caressed my cheek. "Just promise me you'll stay at the Pack House, don't leave at any moment. I need to know you will be safe if anything goes wrong."

"I will, I promise. Be careful, okay?"

"I always am."

Being alone in the Pack House was mortifying. I only had the guards who were at every entrance in the house, but other than that, no one. I took a deep breath and drank what was left of my tea. I needed to stop worrying about everything. Mathew would bring Ben to me and we would be fine.

I sat on the couch and opened my journal, needing a distraction. I started writing any thoughts that came to my mind and I was so into it I barely noticed the kitchen door opening.

I slowly stood up and walked to the door. It was ajar. I looked around but saw no one, so I closed the door. Stop overreacting!

"Hey there!" I screamed and turned around, finding Michael laughing.

"You scared me, you idiot!" I said. A pair of guards enter the house ready to fight, but I stopped them. "I'm sorry, Everything's fine." They nodded and left.

"Wow, my bro really left you guarded huh?"

"He did, but I'm afraid he'll be needing more men than I do."

"Hey, he is just worried about you. You are his Luna, he doesn't want to lose you." Michael said and we sat on the couch.

"I know. Me neither, but have you ever had a bad feeling about something?" I asked him. "I have a bad feeling about tonight. I know Matt will be okay, but something's not right. I know Ben, and I know he wouldn't be out there in the border. He doesn't like to be chased, you know?"

"Then where do you think he could be?"

"If he still is and acts the same way like the Ben I know, then my guess would be that he was around here somewhere. But not out there in the woods." I answered and looked at Michael, who paled instantly.

"What..?"

"You really do know me pretty well." A familiar voice said and Ben himself appeared a few meters in front of us. How he had passed through the guards was unknown.

"Ben." I whispered surprised. He was covered in mud and what looked like a dark red substance. I didn't want to think it was blood but by the way it smelled, it definitely was.

"Serena, you have to leave." Michael whispered and took my hand, making us stand up. "Go, run!" He shouted at the same time Ben launched at both of us. I was petrified and could only managed to push Michael away, needing to protect the human boy.

I fell into my back and screamed in pain when I felt a piece of glass piercing into my skin. "I'm sorry that wasn't supposed to happen." Ben said with a wicked smile. "Now, where is your big bad wolf? I need him, it's time for him to pay for what he's done."

Oh no! I thought and blocked any possibly sign that could make Mathew sense what I was feeling. Because we were linked now and he would definitely feel it and I couldn't allow Ben to see him. This was a fight I would take care of myself, even if it was the last thing I did.
